The Man Who Is Not

I've said it before,
But it seems you didn't understand,
So I showed you once more,
As I gently took your hand.

I won't speak in riddles,
Or try to guess what's possible,
My arms are open, my heart is liable.

The cost of knowing the truth,
Is the pain that it may bring,
But if I don't have you,
If I can't hold you,
I'm lost in everything.

Lost in the midst of the rain,
My pain increases,
As it taps its sad refrain,
It's hard to accept that all I do
Won't make you see me as I see you.

This is a fact that is plain,
And I'm sorry for it,
That all I am is sad and whatnot
For I am,
The man who is not.

Life and Love

Life is a ".b.itch"
She warms your heart with a sweet loving kiss
And mends your soul with her sweet saying lips.
Until she doesn't and lets you fall deep down, in the dark ditch.

Love is a witch,
She holds you captive in wonderful thoughts
And makes sure you're fattened up with goodness, lots and lots
Until she doesn't and let's you fight deep down, the miserable itch.

                     MORESO,
Life is a fickle mistress,
She gives a warm embrace and a tender kiss,
Mending your soul with her gentle touch and bliss,
Till she turns her back and leaves you in the abyss.

Love is a cunning sorceress,
She enchants you with her captivating caress,
Filling your heart with joy and happiness,
Till she disappears and leaves you in distress.

                                                               Selah.

Midnight Sun

Pitch black, nothing in sight,
the only sensation my body feels is the cold wind
and the icy shiver creeping down my spine.
My heart races, my legs quake as I'm pacing
through this darkness: a faceless, crude, and nameless
menace that threatens to consume me whole.

I can only think of you, my sun,
my midnight sun.

My feet are weary, my eyes are bleary, and I fear dearly for my life.
Fate betrays me, misfortune haunts me, destiny taunts me with a knife
pressed to my throat.

My vision is clear but the light is naught; how do I see?
How do I shift the tides of my destiny?
My fears have won, my hope undone.
Is this the end, or has my story just begun?

Where is the joke, where is the goddamn pun?
I'm out of breath, but these voices keep whispering
in my dead, decaying ears,
"There is no escape, no exit, none."

But I do know, I do know one:
my midnight sun!

In Her Gaze

Beautiful can't describe you,
but I try, every day, lost in my world of thought.
With you, every word is a sensation,
each breath we share keeps me in elation.
The mere thought of you reading this verse,
makes my heart skip a beat, as if under a love spell's curse.

Your beauty is beyond words,
a work of art, a song of the birds.
With every glance, you leave me in awe,
My heart races with excitement, as if in a romantic ballet's grand pas.

In you, I see a love so true,
a love that's worth all I could do.
With you, my heart is always winning,
and each moment with you is a new beginning.
