Andrea Samano Poem
my eyes are dried out,
not a single tear dares to come out,
my body aches from malnutrition even though it doesn’t seem that way,
my anger bottles up deeper within me,
my emotions taking over,
and my love for someone making it harder for me to breathe,
my mother surviving on her last thread,
my sister finally being herself,
i feel as a proud mom watching her daughter promote,
but soon it’s going to come to an end

Andrea Samano Poem
as i inhale the cloud white smoke,
and listen for the beats and the groves in the song,
a stealthy trail of tears roll down my face,
as now im faced with a sudden notice of reality,
i am now open-minded and now care free,
i begin exhaling the now sour burning smoke,
and feel the cold air compress against my back,
thats when i hear the song begin to fade away

Andrea Samano Poem
why must you be this way,
we came united and you know our ways,
you spreaded your wings and left,
you have forgotten of what we descended of,
and you left us ashamed,
i cry alone in the dark,
awaiting for your return,
but in the end its just stone cold,
i wish you came back but it will never be true.

Andrea Samano Poem
i want to return to my home,
my paradise my home away from home,
my HOME,
defining home the place we feel most comfortable, loved, and protected,
my home is my family,
i feel distant and lost far away from home,
i feel deserted and abandoned,
i feel dark, disoriented, and too reserved,
i want to be known , discovered, and mingled with,
i want friends and connections,
i want waves and bumps , i want love but i dont, i want sleepless nights and endless talks, i want midway adventures,
i want life ,
i want home.

Andrea Samano Poem
As i bestow my eyes into your darkest sincerest eyes,
I feel calmness overtake my body,
As If I was looking into the night sea where the waves and shore are at peace and the moon glistens over,
And the soothing sound of your voice calming one another,
and the warmth of being in your brace keeping me at peace,
I feel as if i were to be home and covered with a blanket.

Andrea Samano Poem
As 365 days pass,
I still look at the same moon glistening over the same ocean
I still hear your soft laughs in my head,
I can still see some of our broken faded memories,
As I keep coming back I keep remembering,
All those restless nights and happy days,
I would die just for those 365 days.
