The Other Woman

Heavy rain and sleeping pain,
of all the men I've talked to, it still felt mundane.
Exhausted body and a drunken mind,
but if it's you, oh, come now! I don't mind.

If it's not you, it's not anyone,
I was not made for everyone.
Every no, don't, and stop, I say to someone,
is a yes, yes, and yes to you, my only one.

You kissed the wounds of our past.
As we were alone and going fast,
you still managed to ask, "Who was the last?"
Silly, if this were a movie, you would surely be lonely because you would be the only one cast.

Flame was the name of the game we played,
the game that I once knew I could never win against you.
Who are we fooling? Again, it's me that I betrayed,
and turned a blind eye, for I craved to feel once more "that" shade of hue.

In the end, I've always been the other woman.
From the beginning, she was there; it was always her,
before me, and even after "us," you always think she's the one.
After I left, you were with another woman, but your thoughts always returned to her.

Does she know?

Debris

If only tears could talk,
They would surely be cutthroats.
If only fear could walk,
It would blindly go toward you.
And if only grudges are strong,
It would hold you forever.

If I would be honest about what I feel,
and follow the lead of my freewill,
I will unquestionably end up in hell,
And yet I will still say that I am well.

This ain't just poetry or one of the romantic passages.
This is mind and heart unleashing the damages,
When the mind says no and the heart no longer says yes either,
Neither yes nor no, it no longer knew what to say, for it has withered,
And the soul that aches is silenced by the guilt of morality,
Tell me you will be there for me in another infinity.

Home

I’ve been living my life with high walls and an empty heart,
not letting anyone else get in and having some part.
I grew up mad and cold,
the world has shaped me to be bold.

In the cold night with a broken soul, I met you.
You set my heart into a new shade of hue.
For the first time, I felt the warmth of being alive,
with your touch's gentleness, I felt the "at-home" vibe.

You made me feel that it's never too late to start over again,
that it's not worth living my life in vain.
You made me the happiest just by accepting my dark past,
I never thought that one day you'd be a part of my past.

Now that you're no longer called mine,
memories of us together keep flooding my mind.
I no longer feel at home in my own house,
I feel like a widow who never had a spouse.

My room cannot give me the comfort I once enjoyed,
heartaches are all I get whenever I see the places where we once got lost and overjoyed.
I cannot look at the places with the same feelings anymore,
I wonder what forevermore is for?

Only your touch that I didn't flinch,
only your presence that I don’t mind getting closer to an inch.
Now that you are with someone else, I am like a stray— no home to stay,
like a fly that doesn’t settle in one place even just for a day.

Remember me not the moment I let you see me bare,
forget me not in the depths of your despair;
A rollercoaster ride of love with no fare,
but took a lot of tolls to be fair.

Broken Clocks

The tears that make no sound have never been wept,
And the grief that was not acknowledged has never been mourned.
The promises that were once made in the name of love have never been kept.
Pity for the soul who longed to be held but, suffered and has been scorned.

Brave are those who stood their ground and fought for their love,
For they shall live in no fear and will be remembered for all eternity,
Or they shall bleed from the lost battle but will live a life as free as a dove,
Neither of the battles will assure instant success, but one will lead to infinity.

One heart is yearning while the other is waiting.
One is the love that has never been, while the other is the love that is over.
Over for the one that is already waiting for the one that is occupied with what is coming
But to the one who is still yearning for the one who is waiting, it is just the beginning of forever.
