Burning Candle

Life is like a burning candle
That continues to illuminate, till it is not snuffed
Fear of financial crisis turning into prestige loss and socially bluffed
Most fears are born out of a lack of confidence in self
Instead of feeding content with the skills achieved
Step up groaning and slips into inferiority gulf
Bewildered wide open the eyes this second and close the next second
Thus, go on involuntarily flickering both the eyes
Suddenly one often feels weightless
fastened into some sort of mystic environment around
Spectacles of simultaneous opening and closing of both eyes in nightmares unbound
No one is threatening, no one is fury frowning
For no apparent reason or provoking
One feels being caught in the non-existent web of horrors
Fearing own shadow in dim light
Runs few distance and returns, repeating this, again and again,
Gets exhausted fell down
Almost all of us, more or less, pass through such hallucination’s horrors
Once the victim stands still on his feet and spits out the self-inflicted horrors
Sure to stand firmly on his feet and will restart climbing

Be Hard On Ourselves

Sometimes for no apparent rhyme or reason
A sort of sinking feeling dampens the mind and heart
Not exactly, but somewhat similar to a nervous breakdown
Everything appears twisted, strangulated, and distorted
Extra show of kindness sometimes turns painful and killing
Sadness soon turns into the hysterical sobs
Turning the victim into a grief-stricken wretch
The face is an index to mind, the principle same for pure and sinner
Oh, in what words shall I describe the comfort
I receive on resting my head on her shoulder
No one else but we shall be hard on ourselves
Future will unmistakably depend on how we amend ourselves
Wholehearted dedication and certainly
Not the astrological predictions will shape the future
The taste of the pudding is in eating
Certainly not in the smell of the sweeteners

Fade Away

Memories and impressions we think faded away
Suddenly strikes back as film-reel like sweeping flood
I sit dejected, tired at some aloof corner of the city
It feels as if all passers-by staring at me with queer anxiety
Our persona is mirror image of how we think and act
Wrinkles on face carved by reflection of greed and passion
No external power can shape you towards pure perfection
Except your own moulding and self-analytical introspection
Emotions build an unseen tunnel between heart and brain
Only heaven knows how it flows out as poetry or lyrics
A new born appears in the world with loud weeping thunder
But alas, life leaves the worldly resort without a whisper

Perfect Path

As I watch the pendulum of the wall clock
Continuously swinging back and forth
A sarcastic smile comes to my lips
To be or not to because of my frustration
From where I came and for what
And what is my ultimate destination
Not sure what to do next, I sit still in a chair
With both arms supporting the chin
Undecided, confused, absolutely unclear
Butterflies hop from one flower to another
Their tummies are full, but still not satisfied
Is not the same predicament facing most of us
Either somewhat less or magnified large
Our complete persona becomes a mirror image
Of what we wish, think, and act
No one can be our tour guide here
Only our consious can show the perfect path

Blessed

Rest is no cure for tiredness, the more you rest, that expands double the score
Dull, steady, boring bulge weary every second more and more
Blessed are those who suffer from the syndrome of forgetfulness
Spared from the dreadful ghosts of the memories at the depth of deafening emptiness
For no apparent rhyme or reason,
We become motionless wary of frightening nothingness
Neither up nor down, hanging suspended in the air whispering around
Call it empty euphoria appearing and vanishing like clusters of the winter clouds
Riding on the fast-blowing winds disappear,
 without raining or thundering clouds
Walking dazed through part Illuminated and part darken memories lanes
The burden of the guilts weighs too much to face squarely
Or to withdraw from the horrors of unscanned
Buds and the flowers know only how to bloom smiling with sweet divine fragrances
and move forward
It does not matter whether it is in the garlands offered at the divine temples,
churches or in the wreaths offered at the silent isolated graveyards

Creator of Universe

One who does not cast a shadow
One who possesses no real image
None other than the creator of universe
Who we call the Almighty God
Does he really exist, or just a freak of imagination
True feelings have no spoken language
But expressed by emotional twinkle in the eyes
Truth is never at the mercy of words
When we reach the emotional summit
We first reluctantly smile, then burst into laughter
Even the universe started with a bang
During the first moments coming out of embryo
The new-born first giggles, then looks around and start crying
As if wondering “where have I come”
When feels the mother's warm lap,
A sudden soft smile runs through the lips

Images

Neither do I keep stored any secrets of my own created images
of the past in the eyes, mind, and heart combined together,
Nor do I entertain any desire to strive for
knowing the secrets of my fellow travelers
Emotional feelings move faster than the speed of the thunders of the dense dark monsoon thundering of the clouds in the sky
Most of the time in our lives, we get stuck motionless in thoughts of
what, where, and why more than often we are not sure,
What we are feeling like, so we react wrongly
The gravitation of the mental and spiritual thoughts brought together like a magnet
 and the iron
Unless there is a balanced symphony between the mind and the heart
We will inevitably fall into the pit deep down between the pillars pushed widely apart
Actions moved away from the genuine planning of the progressive thoughts
Not even the divine power can bring it to pulsating life if once it aborts
Persistent negativity in the process of our thoughts multiplies the depressive psychic of the mind and the heart fast
Unless we shake off our persistent sense of the guilt complex,
That keeps us get lost hanging in the dense dark cave of the hovering past

Goodbye

That he made me an ordinary unknown identity
Neither mystical nor unique
As one amongst the ordinary lot
Aware that most of the guests attending the posh do
Raise their chins and reluctantly say hello to me
In the split second, drops the chin and whisks away
Believe me, I neither blush nor feel hurt
Because I am, what I am
Not a dish prepared on special order
Some may even call it the leftover
But for the long-standing unfulfilled desires
Between you and me over the invisible hot wires
To honor the dignity of the sacred love
Keep always an honorable distance
Just look at me with your sparkling eyes
Silently conveying without opening the lips
Solemnly and silently, just shrug your shoulders
A pure simple graceful gesture
Yet most of the time tearful
Fair thy well… Goodbye Goodbye

Almighty

With eyelids closed, it seems that nothing more remains
Other than the almost inaudible sound of breathing
But inside, there is continuous beating of the lonely heart
With both eyes open, the universe comes under our gaze
Every object... the humans, bovines, birds….
Tree branches gyrating in air
Objects filling up the open and underground space
If nothing else, then there is always the swinging air
Sometimes, a faint voice hits my ears
Who is running all this
Why, and from where
Directing the entire universe with full control
Without any visible clutch or gears
Is that how the concept of God, the Almighty was born?
