Brandon Stewart Poem
You broke her - just like I said you would
You took advantage of every opportunity to
spin the narrative in your favor
To make your stories become her stories
Slowly, your beliefs became hers
You broke my best friend
My future
And the only woman I ever truly loved
The only human I have ever known who accepted
me as I am
You broke her beliefs and hopes and replaced them
with your own
You blamed me until she believed you
You ruined something beautiful and hard to find just to
retain control
You made her choose to accept half loves and half a life
Minus honesty, loyalty, and respect
All because you decided years ago
That I wasn't good enough

Brandon Stewart Poem
My heart twists and bends
Doing its best not to break
As my arms reach out into
empty space
Believing you're there
Aching to pull you close
Despite this space between us
And your walls I wish to climb
I can often feel you next to me
So real I'm able to forget you aren't
And, just sometimes
I turn to say something to you
Only to be met with
Nothing - no one next to me
But it felt so real
In those moments I wonder if it's
just me
Have you - do you ever find yourself doing the same?
I miss, but more than miss you
I love you beyond measure, yet fall short
Tout ce que tu es est beau pour moi
Tu es mon amour, toujours
