Friendly Monster

My name is Casey, I am just a little girl
One day a grown-up shattered my world
He was our neighbor he seemed so kind
I had no idea the evil in his dark mind
He'd give me candy and buy me neat toys
And show me how to beat up on the boys
My Mommy and Daddy trusted him so
They had no clue who he was though
Then one day as I walked past his place
I disappeared, gone, without a trace
My parents searched, he helped them look
Never knowing the treasure he already took
I cried and begged for him to not hurt me
But he never responded to my desperate plea
He locked me up in this deep dark hole
I prayed to Jesus to protect my soul
I miss my parents, I want them so bad
I miss my bed and my big brother Chad
I hear someone coming, please be Mommy
Please stop him before he really hurts me
I hear a loud click, I see a shiny pole
I see the white smoke fill up this hole
I see a bright light, no longer is it dim
The monster who murdered me was.....him

My Wedding Vows

I promise to always be true to you
To love you forever, whatever you do
To be the best wife I can possibly be
You make me feel pretty and so free
You make me realize how great life is
There is nothing in my life I will miss
I swear to you that my love won't fail
I promise to be the wind in your sail
You make days free, nights serene
You are the best man I have ever seen
I promise to walk this road with you
To always smile, laugh and be true
I vow to hold you through the good and bad
To keep you elated and joyous, never sad
I vow to dedicate my entire life to you
To kiss your sadness away when I need to
Take these words to heart that I say now
And remember dear, my wedding vow

Why Kind of Life

I dream of a life filled with marital bliss
But in our romance some things are amiss
You say you have some doubts, I am shocked
My dreams of dresses and rings are blocked
It seems my heart is so fearful right now
It will all pass, it will, someway, somehow
Someday I will be walking down the aisle
And see my future husbands' great big smile
Through good and bad I will faithfully stand
Our love is eternal just like a wedding band
Someday I hope he will finally be able to see
What a great wife that I will strive to be
My love is forever true and it's oh so real
Only he knows the true love that I really feel

Father, Why Me?

Father, why did you desert me when I needed you so?
How could you watch me leave and let go?
You threw me away like yesterday's dirty trash
Why did you take my heart to stomp and thrash?
How could you choose a woman over your own child?
Acting like I am to blame for being angry and wild
Father, why me? I ask you at every chance given
Why would you let me alone to figure out living?
When my mother left, you looked at me cruelly
Thus started you putting my heart on a pulley
Father, why did you reject me and my undying love?
And when I was on the edge you tried to shove
Me over the edge for your own selfish reasons
With your parental trust you committed treasons
You tossed me out and I grew up all alone
I can honestly say I felt fear to the bone
So one last time before I am done for good
Father, why didn't you love like a father should?

Heartsick

My whole chest feels like it is about to cave in
My head feels like it is about to explode
I loved you with the strength of 10,000 men
But our love hit a lonely dead end road
                    I'm heartsick over you
                     and there is no cure
                    I'm heartsick for you
                     my love was so pure
My eyes are red from the tears I've cried
I needed you desperately it was crazy, I guess
My knees are sore from the prayers I've tried
But for you I did what I thought was for the best
                    I'm heartsick over you
                     and there is no cure
                    I'm heartsick for you
                     my love was too pure
