Scott Norman Rosenthal Poem
“My Sister”
(for Hilde Weisert,
and her daughter)
My sister’s skin is pale,
the light is dim,
perhaps I sleep
and am dreaming.
She questions me,
but I have no breath
and I stumble
as I reach out, towards her.
Her laughter as she leaves,
is like bells on a black camel,
in the wind, in the desert,
at night.
