Rick Lorino Poem
She laughed all day
She laughed all night.
She went to bed
and had a fright.
Her ass was gone.
It wasn't there.
She laughed it off.
but didn't care.

Rick Lorino Poem
Grass is green, we know that’s true,
less green, at times, for me than you.
The traffic in the lane I’m in,
is always slower. I just can’t win.
It seems at times that everyone else
is doing better than myself.
That’s when I stop, before I crash
and realize that I’m talking trash.
I haven’t walked in others shoes
and don’t know what they gain or lose
.
Who knows what problems others have?
Who knows what sadness grips their heart?
Perhaps a moment in the dark
where no grass grows and no dogs bark,
where no one moves in any lane
and where we go is all the same
Perhaps no light will stop this game.
Friends, when grass looks greener over there
just thank the grass around you, where
the different tones and different blades
remind us all that we are made
of light and love that never fades.
We’re never lost, we’re ne’er alone
and the grass we’re on is always home
