Who You Are

You
You had to
Grow up much too fast
Scarcely got to laugh
Have a tale as beautiful as it is sad.

You
You want to be okay
But it can’t be today
You wonder if you’ll ever be laughin’.

You came to bring peace
But not for yourself
For someone else.

Anguish and Zest

At day I fight the warriors fight.
Because my heart is made of light,
Comes the dread of mine own blight-
Demons dark as blackest night.
Except that oh, they do forget
Falling Angels, a-many, I have met.
Gone With the Wind is not Their name,
Hellfires happenings will not break my sane.
In the cold an’ crisp-air riot,
Jests a-many
Kill my kin,
Love is my Name…I will not sin.
Move They won’t
Neither will I!
Of course I’m bound to suffer and die-
Proud I am of my heart,
Quintessential of Heavens Lark.
Rage the storm fiery and fierce
So goes the Warriors ballad song.
Tonight the tribulation will carry forth,
Unless my soul is captured…
Venerated and pure and true…
Well, I will not give it to you, devil!
Xeric though my land may be,
You will not have that victory-
Zeal for Him is my middle name.

Fartesimal Fleebely

You’re a yoddering snake of fake!
Feeble Farrell Farrelly!
I’d disembowel the bark of a tree of three
To rip out your organs and feed ‘em as fishery food!

Blank Paper

Ink stains
Paper cuts!
See the blood
It beams of new life.
Love hard
Die hard
Break heart
See the red tear stains across the paper?
Fall away
Scar’s
Written woes
To purge the heat
From old-soul bones.

Lyria

I am Lyria.
Short and small
But much stronger than them all.
For though my bodies weak and petite
My mind is steal
And rather neat.
I can create Palaces
Out of nothing
But bricks of blood and stone
My eyes aren’t sharp
But clever I am
I see through brain and bone.
And yet
I never forget
For all my quirky creative ways
I’ve loneliest
Loneliest of days.

Puppets

I’m a Puppet
We all are
Playing a Game
Like a deck of shuffled cards
Good and bad are Our chance
But, in the end, winning isn’t always the way to dance.
Sometimes losing may be an allusion
And so I say, Nomatter how you fair, keep’ a cruising.
A joker card can always be played
Or an Ace can be drawn,
But with 5’s or 10’s- still nothing wrong.
Break those ties, be the master.
Puppet Queen the Puppet Dream.
It’s what we’re all after.

Why

Some suffer for others crimes.
I’m one of those victims.
For I’ve known greatest betrayal and grief
Floating dreams disrupted by bad seeds
Even so, I do realize:
Right now, in my anguish
In the midst of great tragedy
Not gonna lie, extreme sorrow that seems never to end-
God, Lord Christ, Living Word, is with me.

Wildcats

Wind within their fur
In jungles, Savannah’s, nowhere mediocre
Lazy they are not, for sure
Dragons of their own right
Cats crave the WildThing fight
At night these angels hardly sleep
Tread during day, the feline will creep
Such is the WildCat a’neat.

Cruxifiction

Hanging upon that cross one last time
A lament to thine sweet Divine.
Who conquered death but thyself did die-
Well, I now know He’s here with I.

Once

Once.
Once I fell in love.
I, a girl myself, fell for another, no one else.
It was not the way you may think-
I think I saw her as a motherly-figure, as foolish at it seems.
We were both children, but she was the friend of my dreams.
Once.
Once I would have jumped a bridge for her. Done anything she asked.
Those days are past.
So long I thought something to be wrong with me.
I should have hated her for all the horrible things she had done to me. Continued to do to my mind, all the time, for years after she left.
She broke my heart. Left me a mess. Six years we told each other secrets. She was the kindest to me.
And
The cruelest.
I promised never to fall in love again.
Now…
Twice.
Twice I have fallen in love.
This time with the King Above.
With Jesus
Will God.
With my family
My friend
My father
And my future husband
Who will love me
Long unto the end.
The End…?
