The Embrace

The Embrace

Four Arms interlocking
Enveloping bodies, five
Ten minutes,
These eyes have longed been so close
 Twenty-five years,
Now they can’t let go
Bodies exchanging nonverbal pleasantries,
Distant memories
Rushes in,
Keeping the embrace solid.

No one notices
The clouds floating by,
When twilight falls,
With guarded reluctance
Their arms are relaxed,
Returning to their Nine to five,
Separated once more
By oceans deep and wide,
And hearts will long once again
For another embrace.

Shy Guys

Shy Guys

They gathered outside the classroom
 On the Upper floor,
In khaki suits
Fertile minds and bodies
Awaiting the Geography Teacher.

The brown eyed girl with full lips
Broad hips,
Small waist tunic,
Slowly climbed the stairs,
 Freddy now made his move.

Heart racing like horse on the track,
He turned to slip away,
The classroom was home,
Hand rails tightened its grip,
Warm blood rushing like a river.

Freddy looked down at his shoe
There were no words to say,
Water dripped from his brow
None caught his parched lips,
She stood in their midst.

                                                                                                                                Freddy’s emotions were exposed,
He had a standing ovation,
Pants drawn up
Caught Looking side ways,
Without a book to hold in front.

The boys were like dominoes
Started to shuffle around,
Like dogs mouth salivating,
Broken half sentences,
Smiling she moved along.

Freddy’s lips were sealed,
With crazy glue emotions
In dreamland locked together,
 In a passionate kiss,
Not foolish defense like fear.

His shaking Sweaty palms
Now released from hand rails,
 Slowly slid inside
 Khaki pants pocket,
While frozen legs stood their ground.

                                                                                                    KenGee

Blessings Fall Down Like Rain

Blessings fall down like Rain.

Like a heavy shower of rain
Jesus poured down the good news
Of the kingdom,
Some came running with cups
They only wanted a mouthful,
Others brought buckets
And still some had
Fifty-five gallon drums;

A few felt
Like splashing around
Getting a refreshing bath,
But the complainers,
Why this heavy shower of rain
Now we can’t
Go to and fro
Postpone the outdoor event.

The rain fall
It don’t water only
One farmer’s plot,
The community
Heard the word spoken
Inside the market,
On the hill side,
Some soak it up
Like a sponge,
Others stood aloof;
Watch it run off
Like water on a duck’s back.

He caused the rain to fall
On the just and unjust,
By faith the just
Plant the field,
The unjust
Complain of a ruined Dream Weekend.

Inside the Cave

Inside The Cave

The remnant,
Sheep without a shepherd,
Hiding from the wolves
The convincing crowd,
Bellowed out the sentence
Passed on their leader,
Crucify him!!

Words passed quickly
Judas hanged from a tree,
It was dark, lonely
Cold and wet,
Who will explain
This mystery?
Kill the shepherd, the sheep are scattered.

Peter followed close behind
Maybe to see another miracle,
When the boat overturned
Everyman for himself,
Swim or drown
He denied knowing his leader,
Still flesh and blood.

Did the mission end?
Will they return to fishing?
Leave behind Lazarus,
And such stormy experience,
Will the band play again?
Or will it be forever silent,
‘I am going fishing’, Peter broke the silence.

 The net they tossed left
Tossed right,
This night they came up naught,
Like a downward spiral,
Free fall can be comforting
With nothing to lose,
They rowed back to shore.

Then from the misty distance
A voice reached out,
Like a rope down the hole
Cast your net on the other side,
It could not be,
They looked up with beaming eyes
Master is that you?

Others came running
 Nets stretched full of fish,
The master once again
Inspired their lives,
Train was back on track,
As hearts filled and running over
Resolved to share the catch.

The Head of John the Baptist

The head of John the Baptist

Herod Antipas asked the girl to dance
She had her price,
To see her shake those hips
To him it was priceless
Anything you want,
The deal was sealed
Your word is your bond.

Be careful
Of the promises made
On your journey to Blue Mountain peak,
When the blood rushes
And the heart races,
You getting all worked up
Excited and all.

For as the blood flow recedes,
The blood pressure returns
To normal
Heartbeat slows down,
You may regret the offer given
Missile already launched,
And an innocent life is lost.

Awesome

Awesome

During the afternoon
Adam awoke to the sound of birds
Singing a melody so sweet,
As he walked through the garden
God came down
And they reasoned together,
It must have been awesome.

Under the juniper tree
They sat down to fellowship
God and man,
How it was meant to be
Let us make man in our image,
After our likeness,
It must have been awesome.

As Adam slept deeply,
God unwrapped his present
When he awoke to his pleasure
He saw woman,
And knew that she was special
God bless the union in the garden,
It must have been awesome.
