Throught the woods 

Behind the dark curtains

Often I feel it 

Its tearing apart 

Abandoned souls 

Rambling around the shadows 

Summons the blood to freeze 

Those creatures of the night 

Utter the magical verses 

Stray night birds 

Taking flights to the sky 

Echos of ancient melodies

My Name is Girl by Amenah Manzoor

My name is “Girl”
A girl with wings
I had a pearl
A pearl filled with inks

I had a dream 
A dream to fly
I heard a scream
A scream, nothing but a lie

I am blessed with a gift
A gift to express
Then I feel some magical drift
A drift want’d me to suppress

But you know I am a girl 
A girl who will rise
I would fly and whirl 
Whirl and mesmerise
