Words of Value

Words you speak can cut deep into the minds of those who are circling the path for knowledge and kindness.

They that reach the ears of the young can ether help them persevere or crumble their futures and lives into the grains of the dust of finality.

They can tell all of truth that is around or they can tell a lie with an ounce of truth in it.

Words can inspire the beauty as a drop of wet dew in the morning welcomes the colors of the world.

They can encourage a different way, enacting change when needed in the stoned hearts of others,

They give voices to those in the world who are silenced and propel them into the future louder than the calls of war.

Passion, anger and love, words that have the power to debate on trivial stuff so much that the voices of tomorrow are silenced, and the voices of the past aren't protected for the future.

What words of your will people remember you by in life and in death.

An Innocent Child

An innocent child snatched away from the familiarness, thrusted into the world of the unknown. From place to place. From home to home. The Innocent child hoping pleading for acceptance and a connection for a start, instead left wondering, confused as to what is wrong with her.

New home after new home. Nobody wants, discarded time after time, unless they wanted what was most precious. The innocent child watches as the hope slowly disappears from the reflection in the looking glass. Discarded again.

School after school, city after city. No attachments. They just bring more of the bad. More loss, more tears in a pillow of a shared room. The innocent child yanked in the reality of a harsh cold world.

Finally, a home with blood. A price must be paid with more of the innocence craved from her like bark striped from a tree. This time in a new state, new everything.

Can’t move again. Won’t move again! Too weird. To hyper. School is a relief.

Truth is told from a young mouth. The truth is not believed. Moved again, but to the other state from before.

The Innocent child is completely gone, seized by the actions of monstrosities of the actions of others and the fear of the connections that was lost because of those actions that she had once had. A pure soul forever tainted, forever not fully capable of love for never have felt it fully herself.

The innocent child, her tears lost for eternity in her silenced voice, that just wanted simple things like love and understand. Emotions that seem to be the most difficult to give.

Lovers' Dream

Two lovers walk intertwined watching the waves as they roll across the endless shore. Their love for each other unbreakable and eternal. The lovers’ hearts so interlaced they beat as one instead of two.

Together in life, in death, into what comes beyond. The lovers walk a singular path, a path that is certain to have potholes and obstacles, setbacks and bumps but also encouragement and truth, understanding and love.

Never without love. An imperishable love woven from the chapters of the lovers’ life.

Hope in a Note

By: Katie Davis Written: 7/27/22 Revised: 10/29/24
Open your eyes and listen to your heart for this world can rip you apart by the thin seams of time. I’ve felt the pain stabbing like a dull knife at the deepest part of my already bruised soul. I’ve felt the feeling of what it’s like not to feel complete, to feel whole and one with oneself.

Look right here at this moment in time and know that I see you. The real you. Know that you belong here, the world needs you, even if you think that you do not.

You can fight past the pain that has been caused from the past that has kept you from a free tomorrow. It will take time and a tremendous amount of sweat and tears, but the radiant brightness that is tomorrow can come. Happiness can last and the heart can mend the pieces that is your life.

Know that there are people in this fast-ever-changing world that are thinking about you. Know that in my words and in my writing, I speak the truth.
That there is hope in a note.

In A Shadow, In A Storm

In A Shadow, In A Storm (Comments Welcome)
Written by: KRD - Written on :10/25/24
In a shadow in a storm that calls to me in the night and through this darkness I can see a small sliver of hope. Soft, bright and warm, a welcome trapped in a comforting embrace like a hug from childhood after something upsetting, peaceful and smoothing that is given with a grace not deserved.

Through troubled waters and life’s ups and downs it’s so easy to get turned down the path that is opposite of ours. But through His will life is blessed each day, learning each day. Taking new steps to be closer to becoming a virtuous person. A good Person.

Through His grace and His Son’s love a way will find a place to belong. A voice that can be heard in a shadow in a storm.

Anger in All

By: Katie Davis Written on 6/29/22 Revised on 10/28/24
Anger, burning hot enough to melt a calm mind.
Anger, boiling, steaming like a volcano shaking the earth ready to erupt the pain out of a blistering soul.
Anger stewing, building way beneath. Trying to contain thyself in a fragile encasement.
Breathe. In and out.
In and out.
Just breathe.
Don’t let it simmer and seethe for worse is the actions that are done in anger.
In and out.
In and out.
Keep breathing, keep surviving.
Anger that is like a trick candle that is thought to be blown out, but the flames keep on returning and can burn down what is built.
So be careful.
Anger in all.

Departed Prayer

	Departed Prayer
When I wish upon a star, sometimes I wish for you. I look upon the boundless heavens and I know that you sometimes wish the same.

I know the pain, the grief and the sorrow will dim eventually but never leave for the place in my heart that you had vacated cannot be filled.

I know where you are, you are without pain, without trouble, but I still cry tears sometimes when I think of you. You were a bright beacon for those that were around you.

I wonder how you are. If the raindrops that fall on the stormy days are your tears as you miss us and wish you could comfort those you have left behind.
I know you wished and still wish the best for us and know that we still have a life to live. Know that your thoughts and words are remembered every day in the thoughts of those that know you and love you. In what you taught us and how you loved us.

We will try and take our time down here, because we know that a new day will arrive, and the reunion will be a joyful momentous occasion that will have no end. See you soon. Love you. Never goodbye.

Red Reasons

The color of the beating necessity of life and hope. A rose’s petals tender as a kitten’s purr.

A ripened strawberry on an exotic and amorous night, a chance taken.

A cherished heirloom endowed by the love of another for those who have not arrived yet.

A color of love and life-force that can inflame the future and free it from what has been shed in the past.

Luminescent Sky

Heaven’s beauty is shown with a vivid diamond night sky. A sky for guessing, for wondering, for wishing.

Black as shadows on a sunny day, lit up with an uncountable number of flickering candles settled at different distances in time and space.

Heaven’s grace has transcended from above to show light even in the blackness of darkness. Knowing even the smallest illumination can fan a fire in a blaze set in the heart of the nation of souls.
