Charlie Thomas Poem
Thine eyes lay witness to a beauty so divine.
To which a clamorous heart dare not whisper the thoughts upon my mind.
Dormant senses spring fourth to life from a taste that’s bitter yet sweet.
For plush gardens of Eden now bellow in envy from the fruit derived of this tree.
Through desolate deserts, which stifled men walk, has it the strength to bare life.
To enrich our souls through the course of the day, which leads to more blissful nights.
It’s because of this fact that gods among men become timid as sheep in the night.
And the sheep of a man to protect such a treasure, would willingly give his life.
Addicted at birth, we cry out of thirst for a taste we never forget.
With a constant lure from an item so pure, we indulge with no regrets.
Of all of life’s lessons from the beginning of time, it will always be know forever.
Not even a God, amongst men on earth can resist a woman’s nectar.

Charlie Thomas Poem
A seed in the wind
By Charlie E Thomas Jr.
Having fallen from a fruitful tree of love and bliss: I'm a seed in the wind, waiting to be held by the soft soils of
the earth. At one point I've kissed the ground but our roots weren't stable enough to become one and so I am
lonely, drifting in the wind looking for the soft bedding beneath the underbrush only to find nothing. With the
constant pounding of updrafts amongst my hollow body I began to feel that all hope is lost. As I drift over the
everglades, I spot a patch. Overwhelmed with joy I sore aimlessly towards what I had perceived as paradise.
As I had gotten closer the mirage of soft soil whish has now become a dry oasis of bedrock and dead particles
of dust, I panic. Just as I had felt the end was near, the very updraft that I had despised moments ago, felt like
soft laces of silk lifting me up to heaven. As I fell back to the earth, weaving back in fourth through a thicket of
vegetation: I kissed a new patch of earth, miles from the home where I had taken off. Nervous, not knowing
what the future holds for me I embrace the dew moistened soil. Something unexpected happened, the very soil
that I had began to embrace, has wrapped my shell in its warm hold kissing me with moisture. I began to fall in
love with this new feeling. My hardened shell breaks and my soft roots began to plunge themselves deep within
her rich body as we become one. Over the years we grow and change as each season pass by. Now intertwined
together we have become inseparable. The breeze that once carried me in its arms now passes through my
thick ferns and cools my ripened fruit. With the help of my better half, I am ready to pass on my own seed. A
small piece of my spirit floats away to start a new life. I welcome my reincarnation with a loving breeze. where
this seed lands I don’t know. Once again, a piece of myself is noting more than a seed drifting in the wind.

Charlie Thomas Poem
Written By Charlie E Thomas Jr.
Such deep pain is felt within
mutually shared my a long lost friend
the weight of lost hope crushes the spirit within
yet still to this day we hold up our chins
blind to what the future has in store for us to see
when the light of the past shines bright blinding me
every step hurts but it makes us stronger
able to live through this pain which makes us hunger
for more we live on in harmony with the tears where cryin'
feel it would be better if we were simply dyin'
never give up just keep on tryin'
remember that this lump of coal will become a diamond.

Charlie Thomas Poem
By Charlie E Thomas Jr.
I spoke of a time on that one faithful day where I would meet the girl whom my heart she would steal.
I wished for the day where i would no longer speak of quenching a thirst for love and let my heart fill.
I prayed for the day where it was no longer a wish that finding this girl would be such a big deal.
I've thought of the day where I would no longer pray for the time we would show the true way that we feel.
I've dreamt of the day where it was more than a thought that I eloped with the girl for whose love i would kill.
Now I'm living the day where it's no longer a dream that I'm with the one I love because this time its real.

Charlie Thomas Poem
Written by Charlie E Thomas Jr.
As I look at the canvas i find a masterpiece of unique quality
Carved by the breath of the God given earth
others ponder how it could be better
Even the canvas begins to question its own worth
I ask myself what could a perfect masterpiece possibly need
It has a base of profound support which could carry its own plus one
A beautiful surface smoothed out by years of harsh weathering
A shimmering glow that questions the very laws of the spectrum
Precious metals and natural gems of priceless proportions lying deep within
and a lifespan that can be seen and cherished for centuries to come.
then it hit me like the rays of the vibrant sun.
the only thing that a perfect masterpiece needs in the world
is a perfect admirer that knows the meaning of a natural beauty
A perfect masterpiece.
