Faith Alexis Poem
At the end of the rain there’s a rainbow
At the end of the storm there is sun
At the end of the struggle there’s safety
In the day that my wand’rings are done
There is strength at the end of the sadness
There is grace ‘midst the greatest of grief
At the end of the night there is newness
If I wait, You will send me relief
At the end of the breaking there’s beauty
At the end of the road there is rest
At the end of the hurting there’s healing
There is always an end to the test
There is hope at the end of the hardship
There is love ‘midst the lowest of lows
There is dawn at the end of the darkness
You are with me, wherever life goes
At the end of the pain there is power
At the end of the doubt there is day
At the end of the cross there is conquest
In the day that our sins rolled away
At the end of the fight there is freedom
At the end of the years there’s still You
At the end of these trials there’s triumph
In the day that all things are made new

Faith Alexis Poem
I know You desire to have my heart
I want You to have it too
But I do not know about how to start
My giving my heart to You
For love is confusing, and thoughts are weak
I hardly know anything
Of what must be done to the heart I seek
To give unto you, my King
So capture my heart, Yah, steal all my love
For nothing compares to You
Please fill me with passion for things above
In all that I say or do
How wondrous it is that my heart You see
You see all the faults and sin
Yet still in my heart, Yah, You wish to be
I wish You would enter in
But how do I make You a throne in me?
So perfectly pure Thou art
You cannot abide where’er sin might be
You only can cleanse my heart
So capture my heart, overwhelm my soul
Come cleanse me, till all is Thine
Since me You forgave, and You made me whole
My heart should no more be mine
You gave me my life, breath, and everything
All things that are good and true
You gave me all these for Your work, my King–
For me to give back to You
Most precious, You gave up Your life to save
The souls of humanity
You rose and You conquered all sin–the grave
Now come conquer all of me
So capture my heart, draw my soul away
Your love is what sets me free
You gave up Your best when You died that day
Now come take the best of me
Yes, capture my heart, bind my soul to Thee
I truly want nothing more
Your covenant oath, Yah, confirm with me
Thus binding me evermore

Faith Alexis Poem
The winter's chilling wind is past
The world's awakening at last
And from the mounts, where there was snow
Come rushing streams that overflow
The streams make all the fields turn green
Bright blossoms everywhere are seen
And in the grass and in the trees
Are graceful birds and busy bees
This lustrous beauty makes me sing
I thank my King for each new spring
As spring's light breezes swiftly roll
The breath of life now fills my soul

Faith Alexis Poem
He took me as a child
At the tender age of eight
And on that day
I found the Way
To enter Heaven’s gate
He took me as a child
When I wondered, when I cried
He loved me
And He chose me
Even though I sinned and lied
He took me as a child
When I hardly had a thing
Of usefulness
Or preciousness
That’s worthy for a King
He took me as a child
When I stumbled, when I fell
He chose to love
And strengthen me
So that His praise I’d tell
He took me as a child
When I thought, “My selfish way
Just doesn’t bring
Me anything
I want; it doesn’t pay.”
He took me as a child
When so small I was, and weak
His eyes could see
Some worth in me
He chose my soul to seek
He took me as a child
Like an orphan I had been
My guilt was strong
I’d been so wrong
But still He let me in
He took me as a child
In His grace, adopted me
Although naive
I did believe
That He could set me free
He took me as a child
When He helped my faith to win
And on that day
I chose the Way
That conquers death and sin
He took me as a child
In the days I joked and played
Amidst the fun
Of being young
A covenant we made
He took me as a child
Oh, how little did I know
Of what I’d see
When I was free
Or where my life would go
He took me as a child
When I hardly knew a thing
Of life’s travails
Of hope’s avails
Of what my choice would bring
He took me as a child
With His love He took my heart
And on that day–
What peace! What joy!–
Was life’s amazing start
He took me as a child
That was many years ago
Life’s journey brings
Me many things
That ‘fore I didn’t know
He took me as a child
And I never shall forget
The day that He
Delivered me
The day He loved me yet
He took me as a child
Though I’m now more strong and wise
I still recall
When I was small
Yet valued in His eyes
He took me as a child
Let me never think I’m more
Than tiny me
Whom Yah set free
Than who I was before
He took me as a child
That’s the greatest gift Yah’s shared
All talents, joys
Success, and toys
Lose luster when compared
He took me as a child
Though the years have flown away
I know I must
Retain the trust
I had in that blessed day
He took me as a child
Since that day, I’m not the same
My joy, my choice
Is that my voice
Shall always praise His Name
He took me as a child
That’s where joy and hope begin
Though grown we be
To heaven we
As children enter in
He took me as a child
On that day He rescued me
I praise Him, for
Forevermore
His child I shall be

Faith Alexis Poem
Lord, please fill our hands today
And make us holy unto You
Please take all sin and guilt away
That we might raise clean hands to You
Fill our hands that we might be
Your ministers who spread Your Word
Till all the earth Your reign shall see
Till all have known and all have heard
Fill our hands, that we might spread
The glad, good news of liberty
That You have risen from the dead
To save our souls and set us free
Fill our hands that we might fight
And train our fingers for the war
To stop the wrong, defend the right
Fulfilling what You made us for
Fill our hands with strength, that we
Might heed whate’er You say to do
Equip our hearts that we might be
Your witnesses of what is true
Fill our hands, that we might guard
The covenant we made with You
For Your commands are not too hard
The things we promised, we shall do
Fill our hands that we might be
A temple made of living stone
That in us might Your presence be
Within our hearts, Lord, take Your throne
Fill our hands with Your strong hand
That leads us toward Your mission’s call
That guides us homeward, to Your land
Please consecrate us, Lord of all!

Faith Alexis Poem
Is love emotions flying free?
Those kinds of feelings swiftly flee
Is love a passion deep inside?
That passion’s often grown, then died
Is love a flutter in your heart?
That flutter’s only love’s first start
Is love some kind and helpful deeds?
That’s part of it–love cares for needs
Is love a strong, long-suffering bond?
That love is tough, but not so fond
Is love compassion for a friend?
That could be love, if it won’t end
Is love commitment–faithfulness?
That love is strong in truthfulness
Is love forgiveness–grace so free?
That matchless love’s on Calvary

Faith Alexis Poem
Inquire of the years of old
Since Yah first started to create
Search long–as far as heaven’s breadth
Has e’er there been a Word so great?
Has any other nation heard
The voice of Yah amidst the flame
Or seen the thund’ring, burning mount
As Yah the King of Glory came?
What nation saw such things, and lived
As Yah proclaimed His great commands?
What law compares to this Torah?
What other law forever stands?
Has any other god come down
To set a captive nation free?
They saw His wonders, signs, and plagues
His outstretched hand that split the sea
What other nation has survived
Millennia of war and hate?
What nation has a god who fights
With miracles and zeal so great?
What nation has their god so close
As Yahweh is, whene’er we pray?
And who has heard the like of this?
Are nations born in just one day?
Who is like you, Israel
Both loved and saved by Yah, your shield?
Oh, Yahweh, there is none like You!
To You shall every nation yield

Faith Alexis Poem
My heart is soft like fragile clay
To bend and move within Your hands
Emotions grow, then fade away
As life is changed by Your commands
For You alone, O Potter, can
Make usefulness from my weak clay
From dust and ashes You made man
You made me who I am today
And as You wisely fashion me
And I am changed by what You say
Unchanging truths You show to me
You leave impressions that will stay
And these impressions strengthen me
My clay is hardened–starts to stand
As You continue molding me
How glad am I within Your hand!
So blessed am I to be transformed
Into Your vessel, pure and clean
That all the wonders You preformed
Within me might be clearly seen

Faith Alexis Poem
He loved us even when we forsook Him
The King of Kings became lower than all
He gave up His glory for flesh
So we can give up our flesh for glory
He the One Righteous died for all wrong
He became cursed so we could be blessed
He gave up His Spirit so that we could receive Him
And by His stripes we all are healed
Because mankind fell, He was raised on the cross
He became sin so we could be pure
He became weak so we could be strong
He came from the Father so we could go to Him
He took our troubles so we could have peace
He knew our grief so we could have joy
He carried our burdens upon that cross
So we could lay all our burdens down
He brought us from darkness into light
From slavery to blessed freedom
Once without mercy, now having mercy
Not His people, now the people of Yah
He gives wisdom to the fools
He takes our sorrow, gives us joy
Our struggles He will make a victory
And gives us beauty for our dust
We were once orphans, now his children
Once full of grief, now ever rejoicing
Once without hope, without salvation
Now we have hope in Yeshua, our Savior
Once far from Father, but now very close
Once sinful, but now He’s our righteousness
When we die with Him, then we live
He died for me, now I live for Him

Faith Alexis Poem
Let me tell you a story
One day, near summer’s end
Martha and her husband
Went canoeing with a friend
Suddenly a log’s there!
And what can Martha do?
Then she’s in the water
She tipped from her canoe
The canoe was righted
But she’s still in the creek
“I cannot climb back in there!
Oh, I am just too weak!”
Then the men were thinking
About what they could do
To somehow get her out
And into the canoe
Then their friend gave warning
He pointed, “Look up there!
In the logs and branches
I saw a snake–beware!”
Now it has been proven
That miracles are true
For when they looked at Martha
She’s back in the canoe!
