An Ode To Unrequited Love

her eyes like vats of molten chocolate are,
they drew me in, i could not look away,
radiant beauty, bright as any star,
i thought about her ev'ry single day.

for two long months, a state of ecstacy,
getting butterflies every time we kissed,
for i loved her, and thought that she loved me,
and when she'd gone, she was so sorely missed.

for many months she was still on my mind,
tears fill'd my eyes when i did think of her,
i thought true love i would now never find,
the warmth inside, a warmth that i could share.

though my heart knew our love was ne'er to be,
my first true love, i will remember thee.

A Pauper's Lament

i sit here pondering where i went wrong,
as i gaze at the world from way on high,
for once i was handsome, clever and strong,
now i realise i was living a lie.

i once had a dream of being in law,
i once had a hope of great wealth and fame,
a house, a car, wife and child i saw,
look at me now, only poverty, shame.

i wasted my money on drugs and drink,
was thrown out of my house, i live on the street,
i wash my hands in a drain, not a sink.
i sold my shoes, now i walk in bare feet.

such torture it is to live such a life,
every day is naught but trouble and strife

Megan :)

her eyes like perfect, flawless diamonds shine,
so pure no single imperfection marrs,
i never knew of something so divine,
their raiant twinkle rivals that of stars.

her voice is like a choir of angels' song,
a song that leads to beauty so complete,
*it draws you in, time stops and then elongs,
a mind so great, with figure so discrete.

her hair a dark cascade of chocolate brown,
sleek and smooth, reflecting solar light,
a light that brings a smile to ev'ry frown,
it brings to mine that of a child's delight.

she has the love of every man she sees,
i am euphoric she has chosen me!

Eating Disorders

i once had thought that i was far too fat,
my greatest dread was going to the pool,
and so for hours and hours, pensive i sat,
and then i thought, ill just not eat at all!

i dropped the pounds, i lost all the weight,
slim again, my diet had worked a treat,
but now i felt hungry, i ate and ate,
but back up it all came, i could not eat.

i became thinner and thinner, until,
i was all but husk, only bones, and skin.
my body killing me against my will,
all this because i had sought to be thin.

models so skinny led me to believe
little was beautiful, oh how naive.
