Storms

the storm approaches
they're all running for shelter
I journal the sight

The Sparrow Spread Her Wings

The Sparrow spread her wings
Before the chick could blink
The Sparrow spread her wings

Rain pours she's on the brink
Flying through hazy clouds
Before the chick could blink

She spots us on the ground
Swinging in our four arms
Before the chick could blink

We set off the alarms
Only the Sparrow saw
Swinging in our four arms

Under her tree we talked
Words I shouldn't have said
Only the Sparrow saw

Chirping as you walked off
The Sparrow spread her wings
I saw her as she wafts

The Sparrow spread her wings

Snowflakes

Snowflakes falling to land
of the caroling,
whiten the coats of man,
as they're traveling,
from door to door singing how Christmastime began

As the Mirror Photographs Eyes

As the mirror photographs eyes,
Tongues running laps read glazed signs,
Broken phone calls your label
Talking fire cuts fixed cable,
Voices piling in rooms behind.

Snapshotting darkness as I dine,
Mailing timepiece's vessel skies,
Painkillers rocking the cradle,
As the mirror photographs eyes.

The brain's carcass sees the sun rise
Rotating roads, token trails sigh,
Step on streets in staples,
The deck of cards on the table
Covers stained face, breaking disguise
As the mirror photographs eyes

The Eve

As eve descends upon the light land
blinds and drapes shut none see no one can
the wind softly howls the streetlights shudder
inside the house we assemble the band

looking at the map this is the plan:
we pick the lock and slaughter the man
his guards will fight to their very last breath
we must kill the prophet's line in the sand

from the building we tip-toed on out
our best disguise came from the puffed clouds
the rain poured as we walked to the gold fort
at our destination there was a crowd

the clairvoyant was preaching quite loud
dripping wet his followers all bowed
he pointed at us and asked our mission
we simply stared refusing to be cowed

the swords were raised the battle was fought
throats slit guts hang as the seer was caught
pleading to me why must you shed my blood
for my place and people to have a spot

I stood alone in the battlefield
and entered the camp seeking to yield
the chalice of night which rings my dreams true
I am the prophet assuming the field

Hold On, a Bit Longer,

Hold on, a bit longer,
the stars are calling your name.
Each second, you are stronger,
as you charge against the pain.

The stars are calling your name,
as you walk the shaking road.
As you charge against the pain,
as you carry heavy loads.

As you walk the shaking road,
miles are waving behind,
as you carry heavy loads
your heart races the time.

As you carry heavy loads,
your voice sounds different.
Your heart races the time,
victory imminent.

Your voice sounds different
holding on a bit longer.
Victory imminent,
nothing you can't conquer.

Show Me God

"Show me god" the non-believer shouted
this male Middle-Eastern Caucasian king
sitting on a cloudy throne who doubted
his creation and punishes them when
he made me this way it was men who penned
religious texts from imagination
dogmatic laws or suffer damnation
clerical hierarchy power hungry
men reciting inane narration
I replied to the atheist bluntly:

metaphors exist in all world writing
seers understand science of their epochs
the universe is something from something
tell me what did the process develop
design is all nature in a toolbox
energy, frequency, vibration lives
in all matter, in all space, and it drives
me to breath, eat, drink, sustain my lifetime
the purpose of life is not to survive
but harness God inside and out and thrive

Forever You

Forever you
I always knew

We two waking, gripping our both
souls pouring into one body,
as these four eyes met were spotting:
us walking in the same meadow

souls pouring into one body
rendezvous to see this old growth,
you who we reveal in this home,
to be the one I am longing

Forever you
souls pouring into one body
we are together and alone
you who we reveal in this home,
I always knew

Forever you
I always knew

Pride of Place

The movers wheeled the piano in the apartment
my tutors revealed plateaus climbed as an artist
hours flying pages turned black and white keys charted
scoured trying ages I played packed plight I started
recitals, concert halls, from practicing hardest
reprisals, my art calls, the piano sits modest
In my twilight years I teach children to harvest
the wild bright light nears, to each the piano harnessed

Music Notes

Music notes
I have wrote,
carry hope,
a strong rope,
helps me grow.

Songs I sing
body swing,
joy it brings,
fly my wings,
do my thing.
