V-Day

Watching you as you play with our young boys,
Cards games, hide and seek, pretend with the toys,
Makes me so smile and say "I love you"
Cos the good times we enjoyed and the hard we pushed through,
It's the journey that matters not the bumps along the way,
So Baby, I wish you a happy Valentine's day!

Poetry Soup

Poetry is a way to express one's self
Only through the use of words
Enlightening others on perspectives
Through verbs, nouns and adjectives
Retelling a story or an experience
Yearning to be understood

Soul and mind together as one
Opening the box and going beyond
Unfortunately not appreciated by everyone
Poetry is the greatest form of expression and art.

Synaesthesia

Synaesthesia is hard to say and somewhat hard to understand,
Not a disease nor a disorder, but I experience it first hand,
Like the sounds, tastes, smells and colours that can be felt by a band,
The music inspires and engulfs every nerve, every feeling, every gland,

Feeling like a lettuce from the feeling of a winter morning air,
The grass tastes so fresh and the scent fills my tummy completely unaware,
Seeing white and tasting air, this is something thats sort of rare,
Numbers and names colour coded, no other condition could compare,

Every taste has a colour, every colour has a taste,
Sometimes overwhelmed I need to set limits and a pace,
As it is not the first one here who wins the race,
Though it is different, this condition I now embrace.

Charmed

At 33 I changed and I'll stay forever young,
Feeling like an actress, like a charmed one,
Chanting along and then speaking in tongue,
And those who came before me we're burnt or were hung,
Tho our power isn't instant so let's have some fun,
And they thought they wiped us out til there were none...

I am Karma and I have the power of three,
For every animal, insect, plant or tree,
I hold the power as I am the key,
So put out karma's balance and it won't be free,
The cost more value than you can merely see,
Cos karma is here, So mote it be...

Seductive Spell

As my hand starts to touch, your body does wake.
But look in my eyes, what I want I can take.
As I rake, my nails down ure leg, hot like a fire.
You see I am the source of your love and desire.
I require you to follow my every single command.
And it isnt a request, listen to my demand.
You will stand at attention, even when laying down
I am your queen and I deserve a crown.

Mirror

I gaze intently at your face,
Many hair strands outta place,
Lipstick used to perfectly trace,
Lips tremble like heading to 1st base,
Instantly i need breathing space,
Overwhelmed by feelings of disgrace,
Nothing worthy to take the showcase,
No confidence left to lose or misplace,
Lots of bad memories i need to replace,
I gotta move this MIRROR from this space.
