The Human Condition

The human condition, a poem

Just me putting words on a screen again.. don't read into it too much; or do

Half alive, stark naked and cold
You bet you wish you'd paid attention
To all the stories of old

Stamped out of tradition
The human condition,
Try all you like but blind eyes don't see media omissions

The world moves so fast it's so hard to keep up
So much bull, piss in a cup
Everyone has their say
Everyone needs to have their way

The problem comes fast when the morals are old

You won't find my best works, with my face on the cover
Despite the fact I'm not one to hide under covers

I let them think what they believe
I believe they can think
Only problem is, we've poisoned the drink

The well ran dry long ago, so the poison there is gone

But the effects it had, well people can be bold..

Poet, prophet, liar or martyr;
It's all just words in the end
Just dont call me the one who's insane,
When we're all going around a bend

//

Jack of all trades, master of metaphysical
My brain works in a strange way, I pick up on the subliminal..

I was never good with words, because my brain doesn't use them
Something about a spectrum
But I like to think it's useful

To some I'm criminal, to others I'm a lost cause
But once first impressions settle, maybe just take a pause

It's easy to throw stones, through the windows of glass houses
You can build up your throne, but what gives you power?

Free will is a blessing, and tragic all at once
Because we are so used to being told what to do
We forgot to think about us.

I don't know why I waste my time; but then I wonder if its ever wasted

Just take the bad with the good
I know I can taste it

Swear Word Covid-19

Another year comes to a close
We've gone in circles, trying to follow our nose
So many lies and confusion, overexposed

Everyone's on the back foot, or throwing stones
But what's left in the end. I miss being stoned

The Chameleon

Ever gone toe to toe with a monster
You know what it feels like when every body wants ya
Gotta have the pound of flesh, I'll take it when I want some
I'm the beast and youre the prey let me in munch ya

I'm the one the don't go bump in the night no more
with the lights off turn em on and theyre running out the door
See they believe what their eyes see it's sickening to some
But trust me I paid my dues, now I'm just having fun

Let me take you in the sheets and leave your body hanging
Disembodied bodied parts, some with a fang in it
When they break off they grow right back, one of the perks of many rows

But hold up, that aint right? I just counted 11 toes
So am I nodding off, eyes wired shut or is it just the pain? Who knows
Oh that's a drip, what's the cannular for, i though it was a the same?

Draw me up and show me where I'll put the IV to my brain

Maybe I'm pyschotic man but maybe I'm a freak
I'm still here just having fun man I wish I could use my feet
