Christina Rogombe Poem
Feeling so unclothed in my newest dress
having no knowledge of mine
Unraveling crocheted phantasms
My head is of lead, my body of soot
Traded in my prettiest songbird
for a kind word
For a free I conceived so wide
A mouth agape, bellowing my soul song
I dreamed him a succulent sweetness
With bigger hands
As rain floods all my never
I think of your brother’s leisurely cow eyes
Cyclones if unearthed beauty
To be admonished by only those that paid mind
And so I cursed the only true voice
Solipsistic techno dream carry me
And to all the cowboys that wrangled me
My heart beats too

Christina Rogombe Poem
Big You
In which I have reason
To invest
Cast as lilies
But I find you to be
A gang of roses
Go and hit all four walls
looking for the mess you’ve built
Life is a tick
And stop making me bleed
Grasping for a foreign beauty
So achingly so
He found me lying through
The gaps in my teeth
Doesn’t the web in unity dream
That the threat of upside down reality
Suffices even more so than this
Blue hues over my corpse screaming out to you
So for my spirit, she finds me low
And stop making me bleed
Stop speaking backwards to me
Can’t you see that I’m dying to be
Like wings of liquid metal
Untouchable to any parallel
Yet still in that world life is a tick
And stop making me bleed
