The Dream - the Real

It’s a flight of misgivings.
Travels, to distinction.
With passports in hand…
vision is lost.
A fog storm,
of epic proportions.
“Oh – (sigh and huff, wailing)
Where do we go?! What do we do?!”
(whining)
Whining…
Such a gift,
wasted.
A trip down memory lane,
I will blow kisses.
And you wave from the front deck.
We think our trauma
connotes celebrity.
We think our problems
are the DEAL – BREAKERS.
I will high five drama,
And you will sob
in the corner.
OR…
Handed a new map.
Written on a sheet of grace.
I will hold my own hand,
And you will include me,
in all your trips.
No running.
No silly. Good silly.
We are not a straight line,
Circles, planets, spirals,
Drawn in the prettiest of colours I could find.
Glowing thru the prettiest love I could find.
Once upon a time
A hero
Met an angel…
and a circle will grow glowing.

Oh Smithereens...

Oh, your skin,
your skin and bones…
Such a fine paste, I can’t
-I can’t separate the lines.
Where do I go from here?
There are so
so many questions.
And unopened letters
on a desk
I don’t recognize.
Smithereens,
smitten,
A system?
Will I find the gems?
Lit sequins
fashion a butterfly,
and knit secrets
wind around my
neck.
Protection?
Possession.
You, kitten,
define so many lives.
A witness.
Where are you pushing me?
Cause I want a gilded phoenix,
I make it static and stayed.
My name was freedom,
but I bought the cage.
Burn, and burn and burn and
black, red, dust, go.
This is not the news,
the story broke when I shut it off.
And now I twist and
sigh,
never rewind the tape.
Just play,
never rewinding the tape,
play play play.

I Am a Deep Amulet

I am a deep amulet.
A cornflower – blue,
I am a vision desire,
wicked,
and true. You will be a missed
vision,
and keep soft warnings
new.
This is an old old
way.
Old like a mountain.
Where couples kiss
in corners and a shadow.
Where the sunshine
rests, sits and wanders.
This place,
we have never visited,
and never left.
Home to all our babies.
Home to all our start.
This is an old old place,
dance for a gemstone,
sing with a wind.
Name me north wind,
cause I fly, cause I five.
I am an old old place.
I am a mother space.
Give me the cool smooth
-and inside her palm,
rests the soft round.
Worn by change,
and made of tears.
A quiet stone for each age,
a massive charge
-each stage,
wistful,
missing.
She is oval,
And her name is
blue.

Size Me

Size me up and walk for two.
Dawn break,
A dawn breaks,
and I will stop in the window.
Gaze.
This is the page,
too loose,
missing checks.
Two fools, left
their played
decks.
And in the maze
of your
unreturned text…
I am without a compass,
I have no plan.
Except to lock in,
obsess…
This is a river
of missing links and
wireless codes.
I am hacked.
And there is no government
to drive in
with black vans.
No surrender.
This was started by you,
and I signed up.
But I will shop the
window,
gaze, haze, maze, daze.
Phrase it right,
when you let me go.
So that,
I always know
it was me.

The Bella Girl

And we wait for you. Light.
But I have known you
for a decade.
We walk together. Every lane.
Like new friends,
shy
and nervous.
And as you watched
Me,
grow up.
We made plans.
You’ll be the baby.
Oh flower,
Sweetness.
And I will be
The Momma,
oh kisses momma.
You are a Christmas
Babe,
With a daddy’s
birthday
and a mother’s
eyelashes.
And your heart
-is for the whole world.
You are the Bella girl.
And you wait for us,
a brand new
Autumn.
A big lovely,
A big new
A beautiful new
You.
