Cora Belton Poem
Mountainside laced with light
Carved of ice and snow.
Bubbling pools
Spanning wings
Scanning rocked plateaus.
Trees towering high
Chirps and chimes of tempo.
Reaching leaves
Gifting rays
Giving off to tomorrow.

Cora Belton Poem
I dreamed I was in a strange place
Near no accustomed kin
With nailed boards across my face
I am the beast of the land
With fire that froze my hands
And water that burnt my skin
My lost soul lays in bands
I am the beast of the land

Cora Belton Poem
The sun will refuse to rise without you by his side
Whatever light daring to shine could only be a dull moon
If you get caught bearing the wrong weight
Don't you see the smiles that would fade
This is not worth more than you are
Not a single glimmer in the sky is.
