A Girl Named Sam

Who am I? I'd like to know
Where's the girl from long ago?
Is she somewhere deep inside?
Hidden from a man who lied.
She was happy, and had lots of fun.
Had a good time; Always on the run
She felt wanted, a little more than me
Didn't notice then, but now I see
She was good enough with what she had
She wasn't near as lonely, or near as sad
Is she just a memory thats locked away
or can I get her back to stay?
I with I could remember more, and have a new start
I have to search myself deep inside my heart
If I cant be that girl I'll have to start anew
Cause I don't like the girl he turned me into
I know I can change gotta figure out how
cause I want to be happy right here right now
The only way to get on with my new life
Is not to be known as somebody's wife
I have to find myself to know who I am
To be known just as me A girl named Sam!

Dreams Come True

She brought an old friend to see me today
He's looking good what can I say
I haven't seen him in a while
But just like always he made me smile
He's so sweet I must confide
It makes me want to run and hide
He said he's been hurt doesn't want to play games
I said thats good I feel the same
It would be so easy just to fall
But what if he doesn't mean it at all
He makes me laugh he makes me happy
I finally found a guy who really wants me
If this is a dream I don't want to wake
So let it be real just for my sake
So if your waiting and don't know what to do
Just think of me cause dreams come true.

So Empty

She sits in her house all day long.
wondering where her life went wrong
What wrong choice did she make?
What wrong road did she take?
Is this all her life amounts to?
Sitting around with nothing to do.
She asks what if every night and day,
and wonders if she'll be okay.
She wonders why she feels so low,
and asks herself if she should go.
Why is she so confused?
Why does she feel so used and abused?
Unoticed, unliked by all it seems.
Good things only happen in her dreams.
She wants a purpose for her life.
It cuts through her like a knife.
Right now it seems it'll never end,
this empty feeling her heart sends.

The Choice

You do what you can to make this place a home
Trying to have a life with thoughts that don't roam
But you have a weakness you've decided to admit
A time in your life you don't want to forget
Now you have a hard decision to make
And all the consequences you'll have to take
Give up, Let go, and put it out of your mind
But then the answers to your questions you'll never find
A life with someone who at the moment is there
Or risk it all to see if the other really cares
So you better think hard about the choice you make
Follow your heart and it wont be a mistake
