My True Feelings For You

When we first met,
I wasn't sure.
But as time progressed,
I wanted you more.

As our friendship
Slowly grew,
So did my need
To be close to you

As i found out
your feelings for me,
I abandoned all doubt
And in joy, almost screamed.

When you first held me
in your loving arms
I then felt so safe,
Protected from harm.

To this day
I anticipate
The love that you show me
Upon every date.
