Soon

my love awaits 
under a starlit sky
staring at the moon

he closes his eyes 
to make a wish
and whispers one word... soon

the warm breeze blows
leaves dance on trees
the vow reaches my ears

to know my love
will be home soon
my eyes well with tears

my heart, it sings
my spirit is bright
my body aches with need

back in my arms
he soon will be
that is true happiness, indeed
