Ashes In a Cage

There's a fire burning
Have you not yet heard?
Rumor has it a woman
Finally found her nerve

She doused her home immensely
In gasoline before striking a match
The flames devoured it all
From that life she's now detached

See, the fire was all but catching
Before a single soul could see
Her home had long been smoking
When she began choosing not to breathe

Her home built on a foundation
Has turned to smouldering ash
Her life blown-up around her
For nothing was left to be re-hashed

With fire comes a cleansing
Let everything burn except what's pure
A match although so tiny
Engulfed the life she once endured

There's a fire burning
Have you not yet heard?
Only drenched in water, Holy
Could these flames be overcome

There's a fire burning
Take note of what could be
When you cage a warrior's spirit
She'll burn the world to be set free
