A Tacotastic Day

Memories are something that can be easily shared
As I reminisce it reminds me of those who cared
The late-night drives with my sister in the car
She truly is my one and only star
She knew my favorite place to eat
Was the place filled with taco meat.
We would go out late and blast all our favorite songs
And forget about all of our wrongs
We love each other dearly
And nothing could ever getting between her and me
She always knows that I’ll be down
For taco bell and a drive around town.

My Voice

Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words wont surely hurt me.
Ones words are theirs and theirs alone.
Their voices are specific to them, they are able to speak carefree.
My voice lets others know it’s me, my voice to others is known.
I am me because my voice is mine.
I choose when to sing and what to say.
My voice is my own way to shine.
It’s the words I speak when I choose to pray.
Pray for those who don’t have a voice
It shows who I truly am inside.
Those heavy on my heart, who have no choice
And make my choices on the one in whom I reside
God is my refuge, and the voice in my life
I am me because He protects me from all strife.

My Dog

My dog is a little bundle of joy
She runs around and wiggles and plays with her toy.
The only disappointments she has in life
Is when we tell her she can’t eat the chocolate, which causes strife.
I love her dearly and I always will
She will be my favorite till I lay still.

Do You Know About God

Is there really a God, I mean come on, an all-seeing, all-knowing being?
Yes, there is, but there is no way I can see us agreeing.
Well, how can there be such a powerful man?
Truly the reason is, He’s God and well he just can.
Who decided that God is the one who makes the decisions?
Well, He is the one that has a plan and sees the visions.
How does that make any sense?
God sent His son, in our defense.
Yeah, but I didn’t ask him to do such a thing.
You didn’t have to, He did it because He is the one true king.
He knows our hearts, minds, and souls.
Perhaps but I don’t agree that He’s the one that controls.
God has never helped me in the slightest
That’s because you’re trying to be the biggest and brightest.
Sometimes as Christians, we have to be selfless.
When we are, we can see His love is endless.
Well, I do not believe in this so-called “God”!
Then, unfortunately, you will face His judgment just like Nimrod.

My Rose

The rose of my life is one that I hold most dear.
He makes me feel as though I can live with no fear.
He holds me safe when I feel down,
And I am always sad when he’s not around.
My rose is not a perfect rose.
His petals fall from time to time,
But when they do, I do not show disdain.
I simply pick up his fallen petals,
And keep them as my own.
Together my rose and I are unbreakable.
Although we’re not perfect, we are unshakable.
We love like no other has loved before.
He is the only rose that I adore.
