Jay Nyhoff Poem
11th grade is a hard time, I go to school, looking for love, looking to gain knowledge.
My english teacher says she likes my poems so I decide to come here and check out a contest, I dont care if I dont get first I only care I have fun.
A new bird breaks out of its egg and learns to fly, freedom and a life long adventure starts striving on its own all the paths its takes only representing a human on their own.
But this is the day before the contest the day I try to strive, for I only a mere kid, still taking english classes, will enter this contest just to have fun, little do I know I would Impress everyone.
Before I go I wish you farewell, and If I do win so be it Ill be glad.

Devan its highschool you touched my heart
We both had feelings from the start
I will always love you because you gave me another chance
Still to this day Im in a trance.
