Mashed

Darkness and light merged into one,
Nothing seems right yet nothing is wrong.
A beautiful sunrise, a brand new day.
The buildings in-front are all bombed away.

The beginning is far, the end is near,
Every body lives in fear.
Today is gone and tomorrow isn’t coming,
Someone catch the knifes we’re throwing.

The children are lying dead in the street,
The guns are looking for fresh, new meat.
Close the curtains, no time for guilt,
Setting fire to houses, watching them melt.

The waves of life are all crashing down,
Lifeless bodies all around.
Why the need for all the violence?
We need a voice to break the silence.

The Lonesome Stranger

Dressed in white ready to kill,
Long deep holes need to be filled.
Giving the knife a final twist,
The girl inside needs to be kissed.

Her heart is slowly caving in,
Confusion hurts like a terrible sin.
Feeling loved in many ways,
Walking through a long, dark maze.

Invisible tears down her face,
People are always on her case.
Running away but never moving,
The pains so bad it’s becoming soothing.

Bottle of beer in her hand,
Burying problems in the sand.
Keeping herself in her cave,
Rest in peace upon her grave.

Searching In the Soul

As the days go by nothing has changed,
Leaving me in limbo, keeping me caged.
Come back home don’t hurt my heart,
Think of our lives as a piece of art.

The lines are thick, the colours are strong,
It’s pieces together like the words of a song.
It’s only a picture, nothing to hide.
Look a bit deeper, the meanings inside.
