Maleiah Ewert Poem
I’m on autopilot.
Surrounded by an unfamiliar climate.
I’m on the outside looking in.
Looking down at blurry skin.
It’s possible I could be dead.
I'm Just a small person in my head.

Maleiah Ewert Poem
You keep me running around,
on this never ending merry go round.
The carousel stopped,
and I hopped off.
I began to get sick,
so I thought really quick.
One more time on the merry go round,
will help my stomach settle down.
I tell the conductor one more time,
he said, “that’s okay there is no line.”
So, I never hop off no matter how dizzy I get,
because once it stops,
I know I’ll get sick.
This isn’t healthy,
but that's okay.
Maybe one more time will take the pain away.
We’re going in circles,
just like you used to say.
One more time on the merry go round,
will make the pain go away.

Maleiah Ewert Poem
All you want to do is get ed up.
I’ve been thinking about stopping drugs.
A two year bender coming to an end.
No more eyes being red.
I’ll be sober,
And you’ll be a lonely stoner.

Maleiah Ewert Poem
My dearest friend and biggest enemy.
With a little bit of you, I see things more clearly.
When I’m in a state of despair,
and I can’t seem to find an answer anywhere,
just around the corner a solution appears.
Sometimes you show up when I don’t want to see you,
I wanted to stay put, then suddenly I flew.
Then eventually with more time I see,
everything that happens is truly meant to be.

Maleiah Ewert Poem
I always loved stories,
Even when the character went through hell,
Somehow the book always ended well.
I’m living in a new version of a fairy tail.
It’s been bad since the beginning,
With a few happy endings.
I’m in a fairy tail,
Though I don’t know what the story is quite yet,
It’ll have a good ending,
Because all stories end well.
