Call of Memories

Memories of distant past
Gently taps this lonely soul
Those faery days
Tip-toed about and whispers,
"Little one, come on and out,
Adulthood is depressing and ruthful.
Look at the green pastures,
The shiny vale,
The playful glow-worms;
You made them lonely hearts.
Come on and play once more, come on.
Look at the rainfall,
The bubbles out there,
Longs for your sole company.
Why mooned about here now?
Burst out in laughter.
Why rueful, kid?
Remember your childhood, and come back.
Adulthood is darkness;
Growing, a curse
And almost always
Happiness has mere chance
Close your eyes, child,
And come back".
