Deliverance ---

over there..>
lost time leaking away

collapse not into temptation
grant me/us peaceful solitude
deliver us/me from erratum
inert/confined/lost
entangled in a weary knot
buried in dusty debris
suffocated by icy cobwebs
burned & frozen
begging for deliverance
longing for liberation
yearning to be untangled
thunder over water
deliverance?

lost life leaking into the past
<..over here

Dances of Vibrating Rituals

No Exit musicians hide behind scarring sounds beyond madness beyond folly beyond Somewhere Everywhere dance with delirious determination through fragments of melodious folly dissonant dulcimers declare repetitive chords within punctuated digital drones repetitive beyond vibration vibrating beyond repetition percussive rituals vibrate beyond inflated vaudevillians mutating into mad cacophonous comedic collisions rituals beyond vibrating cacophony rituals behind chaotic vibrations deranged vibraphones denounce fragments of repetitive visions mindful of mindless Exits

a brief glimpse ---

wispy green tendrils
flicker & frolic
  in sunny
  capricious breezes

a brief glimpse of peace
a brief glimpse of harmony
a brief glimpse of life...

beyond a suffocating cavernous c a g e

The Wobbling Droplets

The wobbling droplets are quite happy. Full of joy and not too shabby, I hear them laugh. They are promptly quaffed. :-)~:~:~ooo~:~:~(-: I give my wobbling droplets a shake, and laugh until my head breaks. They happily orbit the Earth, looking down on us with mirth. o/o\o|~~?~~|o/o\o The wobbling droplets are enchanting but they will not interfere with my ranting. For I have more poems to eject, that many will not hesitate to reject. ***o--!--o***

Lost In Cinematic Absurdity

we are actors

arguing in
plotless movies

performing within
disconnected realities

muddling through
absurd battles

hoping for
direction

striving to
make sense
of our roles

in a
cosmic
Cinema
of the
Absurd

In the Breezy Trees

We are in
the breeze
with trees possible
off the flying lake

look for orange cone
wearing silver mask
in front of the office
in back of the park

No back-to-back
or front-to-back
conversations
on old rocky route
where roots are not masked

Dogs wearing masks
are welcome
Humans need to be
on leashes

Rain policy
will be localized
at the park

You can just
show up on
a deconstructing
road to nowhere

Road to hell does not show
up on Google Maps

Easy Rated Go
for Beginners
Distance: 3.23589 light miles

Call me when you arrive
Call me if you don't arrive

Directions:
Go east
0.8 miles
turn when you
see the squirrel
drive off the cliff
fall 0.3 miles
land upside down
on the rocky parkway
turn west
crawl 0.2 miles
swim in creek
pet the alligator
and snake

Go 1/250th of a mile to
parking entrance
to your left
on your right

To the left is an orange
-00000 mile marker trail loop

To the right is a
silver gentle tree man

Bring your own
porta john
& newspaper

All welcome
in the Road
go two minutes
follow the Jaguar
chasing the dinosaur

Play baseball on the Floating Lake
Give away tickets to hunger games
hike in bathrooms in lake's center

Conversions permitted on gravel
Conversations will unravel

The Dogs of Doggerel

Dogmatic deconstructionists
 declaim
  the Dogs of Doggerel
   during the
Dog Days of Delusion

Deluded destroyers
 deliver
  the Dogfights of Doggerel
   during the
Dog Dances of Derision

Derisive decoys
 denounce
  the Doghouses of Doggerel
   during the
Dog Dreams of Deception

Ice Rock Cometh

Behold & beware…
green comet
sails through
cadaverous darkness
on its journey through
Sol’s neighborhood

Gaia’s parasites
blink at
the luminous
icy rock
   (they are
   pummeled by
   shocking storms
   & plagued with stormy
   delusions)

It’s official:
humankind is
on the glowing rocks
  (obviously a major malfunction)
dodging more shoes
 dropping like conspiring flies
   out of a corrosive sky
caught between interstellar cigars
& hard places
   as the gods play dice
   with entangled eons

Aargh & Yikes!
rumbles a horrified poet
seeking & evading
The Good, The Bad &
  The Ultimate
in celestial entrails
  within fields of nightmares
blindsided by
diseased deities
  bearing apocalyptic gifts
blinded by
tormenting tardigrades
   waiting for the last laugh

Indeed
it is exhausting
to escape event horizons
& evade Martian ironists
posing as poisoned
dust devils
  howling coldly
  growling boldy
Where No Pen has Gone Before

1981: a Texas Odyssey

Calamities…
assaulted by the Memorial Day tsunami
drowned victims & floating cars--
appendix detonates during the Season of Hell
haplessly hospitalized in the UT-Austin medical zoo

Delusion of progress…
recovering in the mobile home
plodding through texts of
postmodern pointlessness--
overcome with visions of nuclear annihilation

Life is a plunge…
sensory overload & self-deconstruction--
reading "One Hundred Years of Solitude"
pondering Camus’ only philosophical question
does Jung have the answer?

Re-entry into the (ir)real world…
Labor Day blues & academic angst
surrounded by yi(u)ppies--
mesmerized by Eastern philosophy
crushed by existential dread

The Being & Nothingness of Texas...
The Longhorns won/lost The Game
primal braying & primitive reveling
avoiding the orange phallic madness
evading beer bottles hurled by frat boys

Monstrous cockroaches inherit the Earth…
discombobulated by the sadistic heat
I ram my fist into a case of Lone Star
“The horror, the horror” as Kurtz opined
can I still resurrect myself?

Five packed together in one car…
a circuitous journey to South Padre Island
silent white sand & red star suspended over the Gulf
hypnotic waves & harsh words in the condo
the Odyssey is (in)complete(d)
