James Scaife Poem
Is anything so pleasant as a catted lap?
The empty lap is born for kitty-nap;
The cat in happy lappiness
The lap in furry cattiness;
As a smile completes a happy face
A cat completes the lappy place;
Why do laps even exist,
Why can cats never resist?
A lap is never more perfect
Than when some kitty purrs it;
It's a heart-warming effect,
And the catted-lap conjures it.
