THEIR SLEEP'S A STORM
ARMED FORCES DAY
MAY 19TH.
> Sleeping in a muddy trench.
> Our heroes breathing filthy stench.
> Or resting in a bed of sand.
> Temperatures rising to a crimson red.
> Sleep doesn't come easy
> Laying on an asphalt road.
> With tanks at their feet.
> And AMMO their pillow.
> Waking all hours when bugles blow.
> One eye opened, One eye closed.
> Dreaming of the bed you're in tonight.
> No matter how lumpy! Oh sweet delight!
> A restroom a snack, air conditioning.
> Given up so others may hear liberty bells ring.
> So when you lay yourself down to sleep.
> Pray the Lord their souls to keep.
> A cool breeze to float across heir cheek.
> And lots of food for them to eat.
> Lord keep them safe or cool or warm.
> Until they're home, Their Sleep's A Storm.......

Those Who Died

MEMORIAL DAY

          THOSE WHO DIED

My daddy served till I was six.
A Navy man he loved his ship.

    Rejecting hero he would proclaim.
"Those who died should have that name."

Sailed many times across the waves.
Rescuing prisoners from cells as graves.

A coxswain warning of things to come.
That sound still echos to setting sun.

Blow the whistle as bugles blare!
Today the fallen shall be honored
             everywhere!

Tears

TEARS
Flow Flow Flow
Your tears
Gently down your face

Cry Cry Cry
And grief
While Angels gave me Grace....

Memorial Day

MEMORIAL DAY

Disasters! Disasters! One by one.
We watch and pray as each they come.

Asking why we stop and sigh.
No answer 'till the by and by.

Over stretched and over taxed.
Our country's back will never crack!

Wars, Disasters, Man made, Natural.
Rumors, Lies, Reality, Factual.

~WASHINGTON~ROOSEVELT~TRUMP~LINCOLN~KENNEDY~
When times were tough they knew the remedy.

As leaders they stood in all their might.
Shining like stars in the darkest of night.

Warnings come from far and near.
Prepare to fight! Said Paul Revere.

But no matter, come what may.
America, GOD put here to stay.

Though down we are.
We'll last the longest.

"IN GOD WE TRUST."
We are the strongest!

MEMORIAL DAY

POW OR MIA
God be with them in a special way.

*
Protect these loved ones.
From their captors hate.
~
Make a way for their escape.
Reveal the cause that hides their fate.
*
If with You , we'll have to wait.
Tell them we'll meet, by the pearly gates.
~
God rest their souls till judgement day.
Where you'll take all pain and tears away.
*
Let the flags wave high! Till Johnny's home.
In our heart's you're never alone.
~
