Are You Really a Human

ARE YOU REALLY A HUMAN??
? SHREYASH MUKHERJEE

I don’t know why they didn’t allow me to breathe (George Floyd),
I don’t know why they harassed me & no one was to defeat (Joseph),
I was kicked out because of my bipolar disorder (Gary Davis),
I am a victim of debt bondage, sadly I am a brick kiln worker (Puspal),
Although being a man I cried as something was not proper,
World would laugh at me so I sobbed in a corner,
Why don’t you hear me cry, am I not your father??

I was taken from Darjeeling to Delhi to become a prostitute (Tina),
I was tortured and hanged to death by the dowry institute (Rashika),
They slit my throat as they didn’t want me to shout (Anita Cobby),
They assaulted and set me on fire without a single doubt (Oksana),
My fault was to demand a life without any fear,
I am not just a story to be shared on twitter,
Now why you all are silent, am I not your mother??

When jihad and my love were exiled to an eclipse (Shahin),
When I was sexually abused only at the age of six (Lokesh),
When I was declared undesirable because I was a jew (Hitler's victim),
When I was murdered when tried to break the colour taboo (Timoli),
Was there really my mistake, I always wonder,
I finally believed there was no god but only a monster,
Why don’t you stand beside me, am I not your brother??

Who put the iron rod in my genitals after molesting me (Jyoti),
Who dislocated the neck of a three month old me (Afreen),
Who threw acid on the face of a to be military doctor (Preeti Rathi),
Who raped me 400 times by trapping me in a locker (Junko Furuta),
I shouted, I pleaded with eyes full of tear,
But I was not surprised that there was no one to hear,
Why you feel ashamed to help me, am I not your sister??

Today when the relations are taking their last breath,
Today when the humanity is kicked and paralysed to death,
My soul knocks and inquires what is your resolution?
Or is your heart and mind still in a delusion,
Then smile and ask yourself are you really a human?
Then smile and ask yourself are you really a human??

Being Alone

BEING ALONE
Once I was walking alone in the rain,
Carrying my umbrella and a sweet pain,
I was completely lost in the clouds of my thoughts,
Remembering my points of success and all my flaws.

Suddenly I saw a girl getting wet in the rains,
Her clothes were entirely filled with mudstains,
She was like a bird but of a different feather,
And we traced a long way walking together.

The rain stopped and I removed my umbrella,
Surprisingly I again found myself alone with no cinderella,
I smiled and became sure that it was my delusion,
My own loneliness has served me this illusion.

I stopped for a while and took a look at the nature,
Observing every flower and every creature,
A single solitary flower is as beautiful alone,
A meadow full is pleasurable but each grows on its own.

I was happy because now I was not depressed,
Now my opinions cannot be suppressed,
My feelings are able to be expressed,
And finally after being alone also I felt I was blessed,
After being alone also I felt I was blessed………

Life Will Change

LIFE WILL CHANGE
"Before your last breath says goodbye to you,
Before your soul passes a last smile to you,
Before the entire time and tide stop with you,
& before the mother of death extends her hand towards you.
"
Try to do at least one thing,
Which can make you the mightiest king,
Which can make you different from the whole world,
And which can quench your soul’s thirst.

For you life will always be tough,
The smooth roads will always be rough,
For you life will always be a bluff,
And your enemies will only point out the dirt on your cuff.

The day you can jump the biggest hurdle,
The day you can solve the toughest riddle,
The day you can see your shadow even when your eyes are closed,
And the day you can open a window when all your doors are closed.

That day a new dawn will be there in your life,
Your all enemies will be forced to apologize,
Your existence on earth will resemble a paradise,
And it may happen that you will die one day,
But for ever your soul will survive,
For ever your soul will survive……………….

Something Is Missing

SOMETHING IS MISSING
We spend some of our unforgettable days in our college,
With lots of fun and an ample of knowledge,
Where we have a small temple named “canteen”,
Which is a point for our credits and bargain.

Then one day a demon comes in the face of corona virus,
Which brutally infects our lungs and stops our pulse,
To prevent it further our gov. orders for lockdown,
Which sadly seizes our freedom just like a clown.

We are safe in our homes but something is missing,
Shouting at the warden as the light goes off is missing,
Getting ready for class in just 5 min is missing,
Sharing a single pastry among six friends is missing.

We are safe in our homes but something is missing,
Unreasonably gossiping with friends in a circle is missing,
Giving a tight hug to a frustrated friend is missing,
Putting down the MCB’s of other’s rooms is missing.

We are safe in our homes but something is missing,
Thinking your roommate as your whole family is missing,
Taking the selfies in class and posting them is missing,
Hiding other’s only notebook and sitting quietly is missing.

Oh god please remove this corona virus as soon as possible,
We know your powers are phenomenal and invincible,
Withdraw every pain and every hurdle,
And give us a new gift of life just like an angel,
Give us a new gift of life just like an angel………
