Elizabeth Buttell Poem
When the leaves fall
unto the ground
the world grows silent
without a sound
as the petals withered away
i know you loved me
even till this day
you are my sunshine
from the heaven's above
the only one
I ever dreamed of

Elizabeth Buttell Poem
When you are so far away from God
it doesn't really matter what you do
You can put on a show for our mother
making her think, you like me too
You can stop celebrating holidays
only the chosen ones are in a class with you
You can flip everything in your head
making my niece hate me, like you
You can hold a grudge of 20 years
for something I married into
Or you can stop and realize
I have never been 2 faced like you
Never lied or judged everything you do
and I will be okay without you

Elizabeth Buttell Poem
Can you see the reflection
of how things used to be?
It replays in my mind
to become a different reality
Can you feel the pain
that's locked inside of me?
They took what they wanted and left
from birth is when we met
Can you hear the voices
as they echo down the hall?
You left me out, for who decides
When it ends, are they gonna take it all?
Can you feel my heartbeat
as it all comes crumbling down?
We lost our mom, dad left, as past sold
I never thought you could be so cold!
How can you just leave me
standing here all alone?
the pain never rests,
why cant I just let it go?

Elizabeth Buttell Poem
In the form of awakened consciousness
you feel your soul rise out of your body
Draining you, as you become numb
No time ticks the dimension you come from
Everything is black, its hard to breathe
No one can hear me when I scream
It takes all my energy, so I don't leave
There's no reflection coming off of me
Its the worse feeling I have ever felt
any fear you ever held, surrounds here
And when morning comes
will I tell myself, its just a dream?
Knowing as the where I've
been and what I've seen

Elizabeth Buttell Poem
Release me from myself, so I will no longer feel pain
Realize the road you walk upon, still hasn't been paved in gold
if this journey begins to fade cold
Release me from the back, to start over again
If you can't step back to admit what you've seen
or justify what it is your doing to me
Release me for a time in which I must find my own way
from any pain i may have caused unto you
or any sacrifices I may have put you through
Release me unto a higher level, for maybe then we could see
who it is, I'm supposed to be, or at least what's right for me
I need to be on my own, so then I can do this, but not alone

Elizabeth Buttell Poem
Because you are that way
still makes light come to day
I don't see you as strong
Your selfish and cold
and would rather move on
I thought you and Len
would be friends forever
when she had no one like you
but your not understanding
that is nothing new
still you are my sister
and I love you no matter what you do
even if that means, writing me off too

Elizabeth Buttell Poem
Coming down a tide in centuries
still casting over one's pride
as if, whisper not to me
is life worth living anymore to me?
A touch that holds, a moment's sent
to caress a thought for innocent
and gently kiss upon a lie
it will melt too far past to find
So if I spoke of a name
Would you ask me why?
and if I neglect to reply,
what kind of fool was I?

Elizabeth Buttell Poem
Did you give me confidence when I grew up, I'd be strong?
Did you favor the other two, cause you thought, they were more like you?
I wish I could have changed what you thought of me
I'm not as weak as you let others believe
But if it was just you, holding together our family
They can go their own way,I will let them go someday!

Elizabeth Buttell Poem
Touch me when
the light becomes
a silent moon will rest
Melt through my tender notes
of you that I caress
Kiss me in the night
to stay with me
come morning's light
Hold me close above the stars
a sky that bleeds in blue
Salt filled tide that washed the sea
took my life from you

Elizabeth Buttell Poem
Lift me higher
unto the sky
Closer to you
before I die
