The Summer Girl With a Yellow Hat

very morning i hear her cycle chains clanging, changing gears on the curvy corner down the street, it makes me wonder if she has wavy brown hair, matching chocolatey eyes full of summer hormones, i stuff my mouth with pancakes chewing on the fantasy of us cycling down the beach, tyres sinking in the sand, dancing in the sunrays, my blue summer dress flowing like the waves that caress the seashore & her yellow hat with mellow tinges of the sun- i wake early the next morning to see her, cycling down the street but all i see is an old mail car rattling & tattling across, i return home feeling like a yak, buried somewhere under the piles of fury thoughts on my back, but i like it this way, the way the summer girl with her yellow hat will just pass by my house every morning & yet again I will just imagine meeting her, finish my pancakes and nod my head to the loneliness sitting on the couch.

O Beau Papillon

o beau papillon ~ o beautiful butterfly,   Have you whilom explored the inselberg, To descry its allure, And its rillets surge, To see the coruscating sun, And the meadows hushed afar, The zephyr whisking leisurely, Or the bodach with his old guitar, Have you at all espy the sapphire sky, And the clouds that move sedately, Peered inside the fathomless dale, And discovered the linn falling indistinctly, O beautiful butterfly, Have you at all seen the winsome nature, And felt totally satisfied, To realise that life is just an unforeseen adventure.

The Ship Of Happiness

The ship of happiness sails Intently across indigo skies Laughter mingled with roaring gales , She gleams like an autumn sunrise Perching near fields of lingering green Where often scrawny lads frolic , She listens to echoes of the roaring linns , And rests near houses made of mud & sticks , The ship of happiness sails Amidst scents of apricot & lavenders Through shades of rainbows Towards unforseen adventures , When the ship of happiness arrives I call her a blessing in disguise As she brings treasures of merriment Into everyone's lives .
