Ruby

My heart shaped ruby wishes to be loved and excepted,
Shining brightly for a single affection by one adored man,
Noticed and caressed has given the luster gleaming joy.

Tranquility

As life has a way of letting us know,
There are two destinations of which way to go.
Should we follow our hearts and dreams?
Or let them flow away like a beautiful stream?

Who is really in control of here and now?
Your feelings are strongly beginning to prowl.
Professing your pleasurable inner cravings,
May not satisfy your wishful tastings.

To remain silent may be the ultimate shame.
Dare one say?.. Or should one dowse the flame?
With no intentions of destroying any life.
Oh, how struggles intrude to the extent of strife.

Perhaps share your mind and love will soon follow.
Allow the knowledge so we may indulge and wallow.
Will they be willing with their arms wide open?
Or will they remain in the life they have chosen?

The decision must find a way to be tranquil,
For both deserve happiness and bliss of ample.
All in due time will we commence that walk.
While minutes go by...tick tock...tick tock...

Thomas

Thomas,
Sobful rarely
Over mature reflex,
Proudly being labeled mother.
Soldier

My Soldier Son

He is a soldier through and through
Serving our country abroad unselfishly
He is brave but not without caution of view
He must be strong yet very leary

Serving our country abroad unselfishly
Aware of enemies unforeseen by him
He must be strong yet very leary
They hide among his surroundings of dim

Aware of enemies unforeseen by him
He moves with stealth to help protect you
They hide among his surroundings of dim
He walks perimeters with focused fear of few

He moves with stealth to help protect you
They watch with harmful, cruel intentions
He walks perimeters with focused fear of few
They'll pounce with chance of intervention

They watch with harmful, cruel intentions
He is brave but not without caution of view
They'll pounce with chance of intervention
He is a soldier through and through

Forgiveness

Can you forgive someone who has stolen your life?
A person with full faculties of the knowledge that
they have invaded your every ounce of pureness.
With only the craving of self gratification, with no
concerns of the damage inflicted upon the naive victim.
Life as you have known it to be is no longer, therefore,
the changes require extensive mind and body alterations.
Not given a choice confuses the brain to believe this
person deserves and should receive the same destruction.
Then you ponder the satisfaction of their demise only
to feel ashamed when you get enjoyment from the thought.
Seeking the answer deep down in your soul while
struggling with the transformation of your future life,
you ask yourself if this person is worthy of the
compassion that is required to mend your sufferings.
The only answer that can possibly ease the curing
process of this human err, however intentional, must
be divine forgiveness to begin your inner self healing.
Yes, you can forgive what you shall never forget.

To know an angel
is pure and white as the snow.
Impossible task.

Shadow

Shadow,
forever mine,
follows me everywhere.
I try to hide behind the shade,

Boo-Ya Moon

Boo-Ya Moon is the place I want to be.
It can fulfill my every magical fantasy.
Do you listen to what I say?
An enlightening place throughout the day.

Evening creeps in surrounding us,
The darkness enthralls the mystical cusp.
What has brightened the worlds between?
Imagination and calmness..oh, how serene.

Would you care to join me on this journey?
Or perhaps partake in only your boundaries.
My world and others are questionable.. no doubt.
Should I give in and go without?

Ne’re will this Irish Lass ever give in
To hungry hearts cantering within.
She stands her ground with cries unheard.
She should never settle for less than Boo-Ya Moon.
How absurd....
