Maddi Zapinski Poem
I call it a fork and so do you
A shellfish fork or a threek?
Is it a carving fork or a twok?
A knife or a onek?
A spoon or zerok?

Maddi Zapinski Poem
It is very cold
The constant chill is getting old.
I do not like
This winter Reich.
Oh sweet Jesus,
Please unfreeze us.

Maddi Zapinski Poem
Bichon Frise
I did not wish to meet today
A strange dog coming at a run
I for sure thought I was done
I did not know if it would get me
‘Help, help’, was my plea
I saw the girl at its heels
She was so fast, like lightning peels
She caught the dog by its collar
Right before I gave a holler
I found it had the same name as me
Spelt neither with an “i” or an “e”
Maddy was the dog I met
She still is a large threat
But Jane will never leave me alone
Lest I trip while running and break a bone

Maddi Zapinski Poem
A bright summer's day
Brings a smile to my face
In the cold winter
A cool spring evening
With sunshine and a light breeze
Nice for a bike ride

Maddi Zapinski Poem
We were tested on algebra
Well no duh.
I have been to trig and back
while still keeping algebra on track
These are questions you can answer
they are not asking you to be a tap dancer
Put your silly doubts to rest
and be done with this stupid algebra test!
This is done as a response to my dear friend, Bridget Williams' poem, Tested On Algebra

Maddi Zapinski Poem
I would give everything to be with you one more day
I really wish you could stay
I would rather take your place
And enter into eternal grace
If we could laugh just one more time
To hear the melodious chime
I had so many plans for us to do
But the days we had left were so few
Now that you are gone I cannot wait
To join you beyond heaven's gate
I love you more than you could know
I wish you never had to go

Maddi Zapinski Poem
Geraldine dresses in green
Has a badly infected spleen
She eats carrots to keep her eyes keen
This poem was written by my dear friend, Caroline.

Maddi Zapinski Poem
Gerrard, Gerrard,
You used to live in my yard.
I chased you around with a towel,
Now I see that was a foul.
Through the pine trees you went,
Right over the pavement.
Then you ran across the parking lot,
In my heart, you left an empty spot.

Maddi Zapinski Poem
Spring, spring
What do you bring?
Rain showers
My favorite flowers
Spring, spring
What do you bring?
Buds on trees
A nice warm breeze
Spring, spring
What do you bring?
