Fatima Abdul-Aleem Poem
By Fatima Abdul Aleem
The blossoming buds fill my eyes with delight,
As the aroma seeps through the air,
Showcasing a picturesque scene depleted of fright,
A life of beauty and a day so rare,
A gentle breeze runs across my back,
As touches of sunlight caress my hair,
I stood still to inhale these moments I lack,
My mind rejoices then my heart tears,
Releasing its pains while downplaying the sorrow,
As I lean against this greenery out doors,
Embracing every yesterday and every tomorrow,
I dance to the singing birds going about their chores,
Their nest building and egg laying captures me,
As I twirl around and bump into an awakening bee.
