The Prostitute

she works the streets for money,
through the night and through the day,
and helps out all the fellas,
who have money they can pay.

while dressed in lace and satin,
and a hip length mini skirt,
she really doesnt hide much,
in that see through gaping shirt.

when you've bought her service,
and she takes you by the hand,
you'll know that you are headed,
for that dream in promised land.

she'll show you things quite different,
and caress you nicely too,
but dont ever fall in love,
cause when times up so are you.

then she'll have herself a shower,
and get ready once again,
to stand back on the corner,
where her business has no end.

dont ever try to change them,
cause they really are astute,
you maybe never able,
to change a prostitute.

The Girl That I Adore

i cannot give you studded diamonds,
or give you fine white pearls,
nor can i give you money,
that could buy the whole wide world.

i cannot give you airplane tickets,
new fashions, trends and fame,
the only thing that i can give,
is my heart, my soul and name.

im not a man of upper class,
or a man who is well known,
my needs are very simple,
just a place to call my home.

i'll give you all i have to give,
but as i say it isnt much,
a future, land with house and kids,
and my love on hand as such.

and to know you'll always love me,
even if we're very poor,
really makes me glad found you,
the girl that i adore.

I Love You

all of your love,
is all that i need,
and all of your warmth,
will thrill me indeed.

our future together,
do you think it will bring,
a happy engagement,
then a gold wedding ring.

or will it just die,
like a log on a fire,
or might it well cost,
as if its for hire.

i love you my darling,
cant tell you how much,
for there isnt a word,
to express it enough.

Thanks For the Weekend

mummy took me to the zoo,
and just guess what i saw.
i saw a real big old lion,
with a big old mighty roar.

we walked a little further, dad,
and just guess what i saw.
piggies in the mud,
and a big old ugly boar.

we walked a little further,dad,
and just guess what i saw,
a hippo and a rhino,
drinking near a waterfall.

we walked a little further,dad,
and just guess what i saw.
monkeys' playing chasing,
like i'd never seen before.

we walked a little further,dad,
and just guess what i saw.
moo cows eating grass,
and a donkey eating straw.

there were chickens in the coop, dad,
and geese about the floor,
i even saw a llama.
scratching up against the door.

we walked a little further,dad,
and just guess what i saw.
day was getting dark,
and i couldnt see no more.

we walked a little further,dad,
and came upon the end.
i said to mummy,thankyou,
and thanks for the weekend.

Mother

thank you mum for all you've done
in watching over me,
so in respect I'll just reflect
and tell you what i mean.

 you changed my dirty nappies
picked me up when i fell down,
the days i felt depressed
made me laugh instead of frown.

you helped me with my schooling
cleaned for me and cooked,
wiped my nose and grazes
and played nurse when i was crook.

so on your day this mothers day
i hope its full of fun,
these words i've written just for you
cause i really love you mum.

Adriann,Dont Want To Know

jumped the track,
pushed the pact.
don't come around,
don't need you back.

don't show your face,
you're my disgrace.
don't care for you,
i won't embrace.

you caused me harm,
a bitch no charm.
laugh and smile,
you're in denial.

don't tell me lies,
to make me cry.
the last of three,
but first alive.

the trust for you,
i haven't none.
and all my help,
has come undone.

go away,
it hurts i know.
you are my daughter,
don't want to know.

The Spirit That Stayed

the children awoke,
and climbed from their beds,
then hurried downstairs,
to see what he'd left.

to the tree in the lounge,
that stands beautifully bright,
there were presents for missy,
and presents for mike.

the beer can was empty,
so then they believed,
that santa clause came,
in his sleigh christmas eve.

the parents they cuddled,
'merry christmas' my dear,
lets spend with our kids,
the best day of the year.

and who am i you ask,
well im it in a way,
im the spirit of christmas
that stayed for the day.

Another Generation

dave was born in august,
in the year of '42',
he never knew his daddy,
and his daddy never knew.

his mother was courageous,
till the day he heard her cry,
he wondered about the telegram,
and what it said inside.

now dave grew up a rebel,
hating politics and war,
he wrote protest songs for victims,
that he felt were being ignored.

he got himself a part time job,
while caring for his mum,
then met a girl and married,
at the age of 21.

his wife had fallen pregnant,
in the year of '64',
he had planned the perfect future,
like his daddy did before.

but it wasnt very long,
before the voice of uncle sam,
had called him up to serve,
and fight in vietnam.

he didnt want to go,
for the memories flooded back,
but he had to do his duty,
and was forced to wield the bat.

so the story starts again,
in another generation,
even though he came back home,
he soon died from radiation.

My Little One

my little one is yawning,
as shes sitting in her chair.
her tired eyes are closing,
as shes clutching to her bear.

when she falls asleep,
i will take her to her crib,
i'll tuck her in and say to her,
these words i;ve always said.

"sleep little darling,
the sandmans on his way,
when you wake from dreaming,
it will be a brand new day".

"for tomorrow you will play,
when the sun is shining bright,
i love you little darling,
god bless you and goodnight".

My Valentine

if by chance,
this makes you smile,
then you are my valentine.

for fifteen years,
you've been the one,
and still my love,
it's so much fun.

there aint no roses,
for they die,
but we go on,
as days go by.

like night and day,
rain and shine,
you'll always be,
my valentine.
