Keturah Thorpe Poem
I'm from...Raman noodles that are actually God's brains
they keep my happiness and hunger frequently sustained
I'm from...Picking berries in the warmth of the sun
that go quite well with a warm cinnabun
I'm from..."Never forget your gift" said a lady to me
as I stopped to smell the roses in a sanctuary
I'm from..."If you want to write then read, read, read"
I took to that notion and now I'm soon to succeed
I'm from...storytellers, trappers and pagans galore
who teach me their mystical magical lore
I'm from...stardust and the controversle divine
tracing my beginning back to the earliest time
I'm from...sitting on rooftops to get my head clear
where I think and I dream, my mind all in gear
I'm from...my friens who heve shaped me with love throughout my life
with them there is never very much strife
they are my everything big and small
without them I am from nowhere and nothing at all.........

Keturah Thorpe Poem
You told me not to trust him
You told me that he lied
You told me he would hurt me
I didn't listen
I was blind
I wandered an unfamiliar path
To a place filled with sweets and joy
That didn't seem to last
I spent all that night crying
On your shoulder I believe
Those unforgettable three words you told to me
I guessed that they were coming
I just didn't want to hear
You put your arms around me and said
I told you so my dear
If only I had listened
I wouldn't be so hurt
You told me once
You told me twice
Well now me ears are open
Ready to heed your every word
Only now your mouth is shut
My ears are open now
My ears are open now
You told me not to trust her
You told me that she lied
You told me she would hurt me
I didn't listen
I was blind
Confused and thoughtless
I continued down the winding path
This time though the sweets were sour
and the joy had lost its laugh
I had to watch her cry with tears in my own eyes
Those unforgettable three words you told to me
This time I knew they were coming
Still I didn't want to hear
You held me tight in your arms and said
I told you so my dear
If only I had listened
I wouldn't be so hurt
You told me once
You told me twice
Well now me ears are open
Ready to heed your every word
Only now your mouth is shut
My ears are open now
My ears are open now
You told me not to trust them
You told me that they lied
You told me they would hurt me
I didn't listen
I was blind
Lost and scared I think
Stuck on this path I feel real regret
Even as I taste my sweetest joy
and reach out for a laugh
It seems too right
It must be wrong
And you don't even know him
I wait for those three unforgettable words
but now nothing comes for me
Instead he says something in my ear
He put his arms around me and said
I love you my dear
Oh my ears are open now
My ears are open now
But you are silenced and your mouth is all sewn up
Oh my ears are open now
My ears are open now (x2)

Keturah Thorpe Poem
Firefly Glow and Moonlight shine
I release my love on this sacred line
Invisible with an indigo glow
This web of love and life we constantly sew
Carries this message above
To you my love
And we meet in the moonlight
In my dreams tonight

Keturah Thorpe Poem
I wish you would love me
I wish you would trust me
Is that all you have to say?
I like you a lot and think you’re totally hot
Can’t that be enough for today?

Keturah Thorpe Poem
I want to be taken to another world
A world of dreams
Where pain and sorrow are muted
And you are free to live and dance
I want to be taken to a faraway place
A place of peace
Where there is no stealing and no drugs
And everyone follows the rules of "love"
I want to be taken to a beautiful planet
A planet of new beginnings
Where exotic sights can be seen & not polluted with mistakes
And you can breath REAL freash air
I want to live, dance, run
I want pain, sorrow, and broken hearts to be healed
I want to fly away
fly away
away
away
To my dream world
Where I can be anyone I want to be
Where I can be me
I want my tears to be dried
And beauty to be unvailed
I want to be me
And you to be you
And have all the pieces fit together.
