There aren't many who see me-
Those few view me in the
Words they say
"speak" me when they
Glance away
Their inner ear "attuned"
Their "knowings" seek invitation
To an inner, sacred place
Long ago barricaded from
"Exploitative" desires-I can
Not promise entry-
I LIVE here, and must protect my space.
Still; there are
a few...

Authentic tulips
blended with
plastic imitations.
"Bluie" chirping,
"CiCi" meowing at kitchen's door:
A cloak of weariness
vying for more
attention;
as I drift into a
light of sun...

This is the best time
in my life because,
I’m living it,
and I’m most alive:
NOW!
Why would I want
a past with
prior knowledge to
live again
Or-
future unknowns?
At least there’s some
semblance of control,
because the “present”
allows choice.

The dancing mist
at morning dawns,
It flickers, rises,
settling down-
and joins the grass
of green below,
"til wind once more
against it blows-
then up and up,
it floats anew-
to seek the sun
the clouds (though few)
disperse before
the warming breeze,
while I, in wisdom,
do perceive...

A blanket of grief
covers the earth,
“moaning’s”
from life-breathers;
So much loss-
the cycle of death,
seemingly endless.
Hope dwindles, but
we remember how,
having come through
similar traumas,
we can reach out-
holding “virtual hands”,
smiling into mirrors
of dim unknowns-
Our lights break forth,
and “paired”,
we walk courageously
towards a distant shore
of safety and relief…
