Ethan Hendricks Poem
The heart seeks that which it cannot have;
For that of perfect beauty.
The corruption of life they desperately shave,
Yet fail to see the grace in duty.
Duty, such as the autumn tree,
Seen as pride before the fall,
Magnificent waves lapping o'er the sea
As precursors to a great blue wall.
Yet those who find that which they seek,
Searching far and wide,
Seeing life at its true peek
In the Lord whey now abide.
Though the world will try to lure you in,
True beauty lies in God akin.
