Deanna Malone Poem
Empty
By Deanna M Malone
Afraid to live
not wanting to die
always teary eyed.
\Full of emotion
Yet empty inside.
\Lifes promises broken
I love you never spoken.
\I was given to you to love cherish
and protect.
\Another house
never a home.
\Roots never laid
friends never made
\I'm just a child you know
how will I ever grow.

Deanna Malone Poem
Know Me
By Deanna Malone
The leaves have fallen the sky is gray,
no birds are singing to help brighten the day.
I start my day with a smile in place
for all to see I have dignity and grace.
\My saddness hidden i'm on my way,
to a job that doesn't quite pay.
\For here I am, mother, father,
friend and foe,instructor,provider
and the list goes on and on you KNOW.
\I strive for growth, perfection and peace,
I must give totally of myself
there are young ones I must reach.
\I am shaping the minds of Doctors, Lawyers,
Preachers,and Teachers.
\Though unappreciated I move forward,
with a light in my eyes anda song in my heart,
I must always be fair, kind and just for in
my hands the future you intrust.
\Do you Know me now? I am teacher indeed
and its not about what Igo through only about a childs needs.

Deanna Malone Poem
My children are my life,
even though I was never made a wife.
They give me so much joy and peace,
and it does daily increase.
when the my days are hard and to real,
its thoughts of them that help me deal.
I love them unconditionally everyday,
a God blessed life for them I do pray.
Matters not if their works are great or small,
in this life I pray they always stand tall.
We'll always fit together like a hand and glove,
we are bonded and sealed by Gods great love.

Deanna Malone Poem
ONE
God made me and God made you hues of every kind
Your blood is as red as mine, and the love of God within us
Blurs the color line.
Grace is clear, salvation free there should only be love between you
And me.
We have only one Father who loves us one and all he has no respect of person
So why do you make that call.
Adjust your attitude, with loving patient deeds, be kind, caring, with understanding,
your words should not hurt, and break they should only fill a need.
Holy Spirit fill our hearts, so our words do not offend, for we are all your children and each other’s friend.

Deanna Malone Poem
If
Racism a made-up word I wish I never heard
It matters not if I am red, yellow, brown, black or white, your judgement is
Wrong and your attitude is strong.
The wonderful things you miss out on judging me by my skin, I could be your closet
Companion, confidant and friend, but you will never know the heart beneath my color
And the amazing things we could teach each other.
IF
you would only be my brother.

Deanna Malone Poem
Summer
Wildflowers dressed in colors, reaching to the sky
Sunshine is bright and yellow, warming the dirt makes it dry.
Sky so blue, clouds white fluffing shapes of dragons, rabbits and puppies.
Trees, bushes short and tall, watching vines climb the wall
The air is warm, the breeze is slight, it’s a summers day, all is right.
Children laugh, birds sing, butterflies flutter with colorful wings.
Time to swim and bathe in the sun, lemonade and ice cream
Summertime is all for fun.
Come outside, take it all in, fish, hike, ride a bike.
Summer is fresh, summer is bright and everything is alright.

Deanna Malone Poem
Take Me Higher
A rush of wind, morning breeze the fresh cool air speaks to me,
hands lifted to the heavens pulling at the air come sweet Holy Spirit
I feel you there.
Waves of heaven rush in, they clash my soul HALLELUJAH peace unspeakable,
Joy untold.
Higher, higher take me higher still until your presence is all I feel.
Higher, higher take me higher till my cup overflows and all that’s broken does heal.

Deanna Malone Poem
A thief is one who takes without notice or permission
You are the biggest thief, no remorse, never caught
leaving brokenness, emptiness, depression and loneliness
with every robbery.
No one can ever reclaim or recover what you've taken as you
take from the young, the old, the rich, the poor, from the suburbs and the ghetto.
You don't care if they are white, black, red, yellow or brown.
No respect for any, never full, never enough, with greedy eyes
ever searching, hands grabbing and snatching the very air that we breathe
you are the biggest thief, no one likes you, but you don't care, you come again
and again leaving hearts shattered in pieces.
Not one day goes by that you rest as you take quickly and quietly stealing
hopes, dreams, and futures.
I will never understand why or when you take, or the extreme grief your leave
for us to carry and then you will come again until you take everything.
Death, Death, Death.
