Wanfei Anne Ryan Poem
The chains of freedom
A fire burning in my hands
A societal lie made by heavy pockets
Of extremists like the Nazis
Jabbing whatever they want , where ever they want
For any reason they find plausible
A belief so heavily inflicted that it makes us forget out pasts
Our purpose and our right to exist as humans
You can use your voice to scream but you are mute
Even the loudest voice becomes no more than a whisper
When in the shadow of fear
A shadow that creeps upon me
When i am alone, i know i am next
A subtle premonition of the chaos to come
Porcelain dolls hanging from the ceiling
Wearing red and cherry white
But their hair to soft to be toys
And their skin to warm to be fake
Strung up with crosses marked on each of their faces
When the bell rings
A distant chime of terror digs their graves and yet they can not run
The smell of putrid among us and rotting flesh
Frozen by the sense of lingering despair
My road is predetermined by those before me
Lead me to be hung up on a pillar like one of my sisters
Up i go
The world i see as life escapes me is bittersweet

Wanfei Anne Ryan Poem
I am a follower not a leader
I am a duplicate
A clone of another
I follow other instincts before my own
Results in life
Concluded that i will
Tear and dig into myself trying
To find something worth keeping
As if i were to find something hiding beneath the
Surface of the Dirt in the earth
Rotten and old
Like an old dog bone left unwanted with
Scars and indents left evident on the surface
Results of societies
Change the way we vision our reality
I change inside and take the steps needed
To become that expectation
While not noticing all the harm that has already been done
At the end of the day
No challenge has actually been won
These challenges results in fear or failure
I alone observe the
Past and wonder why i believe in such said
Protocols i have inhabited in my head.

Wanfei Anne Ryan Poem
Breathless a wave of shock
A slight stumble over tumble weed
A drop, a fall
A scream, a stone, a mirror
And i see
A reflection of someone else not me
Fainted , now i hear voices around me
Surrounding me
An ambulance, a siren
A wave of local people beside the road
being ordered to disperse.
I am now carried away
On a flimsy transferable bed
I see the sky a dusty shade of blue
I pass a body, a few
I can see the plan so carefully laid out before me
So what went wrong?

Wanfei Anne Ryan Poem
When you cry
I cry, but I don't.
Always show it.
When you smile,
I smile,
but you don't always
Know it.
When you laugh
I laugh.
My heart fills with
Joy
When you frown,
I frown,
I wonder why you do.
When you dance,
I see freedom,
Why did I think freedom.
Was letting you go.
When I see you
Go
I want you to know.
I'm sorry I ever.
Let you go.

Wanfei Anne Ryan Poem
The moon beams most bright because of you
The stars will always shine because of you
The ones you love are here today because of you
The friends you have love for
Are there for you
Remember whilst in this difficult time
You are strong
You are kind
You are caring
You are here today
You can make a difference
Your voice matters
You can get through
Because of you
