Chained

The clouds crossed the moon and the wind blew without care for its effect, as my heart sat empty, devoid of emotion and all hope of love forsaken.
Giving up was all that was left.
Loneliness was all that was felt.

Untitled

Rouse a gust of wind
To blow away the cobwebs in my mind.
I'd beseech it take these haunting memories
If it would be so kind.

Left Behind

My heart is not here, it is no longer with me.

It is in the places I long to visit and the books I yearn to read.
It is in the dreams unfulfilled and the life I should have lived.
In its place is an ache, a pressing upon my chest.
A feeling of lost potential and suppressed desire as it wanders alone under starlit skies.

My heart is not here, it is no longer with me.
