Cherisa Felder Poem
I am left on a blank page
My life put on hold
So many questions about direction
and which way I should go
I look forward to the next chapter
In this book that I call life
But I can't seem to grasp the feeling
Of not being his loving wife
I look for a new author
In the eyes of a stranger
But my heart cringes in my chest
In fear of the danger
Not in fear of growing to love
Someone or something new
But in fear of losing sight
Of the promise already in my view
My story already had an ending
With my love right by my side
But he wanted to be free of me
He was done, He didn't even try
So as I stand here lost
Trying to find my way
I am right where he left me
Standing left on a Blank Page

Cherisa Felder Poem
Fingerprints make us all definely unique
These swirly skin lines tell our personal story
Every interaction, even a glance it could be
Leaves a fingerprint on all of us invisibly
So let's leave in others, what we want to see
The future is in our hands, at our fingertips actually.

Cherisa Felder Poem
How do I get back to me?
The me I gave all of to you?
I can't seem to find all the pieces
That shattered when things went askew
I try to move on with my life
I even tried to love someone new
But when I tried to give him my heart
I couldn't..It still belongs to you
That's not the only piece missing you see
There's actually quite a few
My faith in love, my title, my future
Was all wrapped up in you
I'm left broken and wide open
Emotionally naked for all to view
This time it's my heart, my soul
My spirit, where you left the bruise
You left behind "the love of you life"
wondering what did I do
To be left in the mud
Just so you could find you
Well I hope you found what you're looking for
I'm serious, I really do
But if you ever come back around again
You won't find anyone you once knew
I'm growing and I'm changing
I am becoming someone new
Might not be today, might not be tomorrow
But one day, you'll be in MY rearview

Cherisa Felder Poem
You pluck an Angel from the heavens
And lure her to your lair
Assuring her of passion
Assuring her safety there
You light the world on fire around her
Watching her as she dances
In the flames of your promises
Embers of forever and 2nd chances
You never let a flame touch her
Always protecting her with care
Is this fire going to burn her?
Only sands of time will tell
You never meant to destroy her
You never meant her harm
But what else happens to an angel in hell
When you take one on your arm
You tire of fanning the flame
So you turn and walk away
The angel that you knew and loved
Now doesn't know her place
She stays behind in the ashes
Realizing how badly her wings were burned
And now she wanders in hell
Only awaiting your return
She made friends with her demons
They taught her how to survive
But it still isn't home without you
Not somewhere she can thrive
Tired of waiting and crying
She sees she is on her own
She knows it's time get going
Its a long walk to get back home.

Cherisa Felder Poem
Something so tiny that we can barely see
Fingerprints make us all uniquely unique
Astounded and astonished at such intricacy
These swirly skin lines tell our story officiously
As much as they set us apart, they unite us, You see
We leave them on others we meet on our journey
Every interaction, even a glance it could be
Leaves a fingerprint on all of us invisibly
Fingerprints have nothing to do with our identity
But everything to do with the mark that we leave
So let's live our lives a bit more deliberately
So that what we leave in others is what we want to see
It is all in our hands, at our fingertips actually.

Cherisa Felder Poem
Waking up to pop-tart kisses
Time to start the day
Good morning I love you
Is the first thing we say
Take advantage of every kiss
And every chance to cuddle
Take time to dance in the rain
And splash in every puddle
Build a fort under the table
Or an office under the sink
Make believe we are fairies
And pretend to all have wings
Forget about the dishes
Or the laundry in the room
Sacrifice your weekly show
And let them pick cartoons
Splash with them at bath time
And get a tad bit wet
Read them bedtime stories
But don't walk away just yet
Step back into their room tonight
And watch them as they sleep
This is what life's all about
And you've got FRONT ROW SEATS
