Weightlifting

My journey beginning weightlifting commenced on a warm spring day, when I was of the ripe age of 14. I had no idea the extreme weight this category of life held. The extreme passion that was ignited within on that beautiful spring day. I opened up my digital device to watch another meaningless show on my favorite app. But instead of watching another unrelatable show I took a chance on a documentary that looked in depth in the life of different professional bodybuilders. Since that one hour and a half spark of interest I have never found something so impactful. Weightlifting has taken shape and form into something so much greater than I could ever imagine. It has served as motivation, determination, strength, passion, awareness, enlightenment, stability and so much more. It has driven me to new places and new experiences that before were never possible. But most of all it has provided hand over foot my 100% through and through confidence that was lost but now is found. It has brought me capability and a mindset that before was a mere intangible and unapproachable idea.

Hope

Hope is only what we can wish for,
It is not anything you can purchase at a store,
Hope is not something we just hide away and keep offshore,
Without hope our life is like a crystal vase just dropped to the floor.

Lacking hope can leave us feeling like we are just stuck on the base floor.
Hopelessness feels like a asteroid coming to earth to kill us like we are all dinosaurs.
Sometimes it feels like we are fighting a powerful sea with nothing more than a little ore.
Hope saves us like a superhero once more.

I rather have hope and be poor,
Than to have riches and be rotten to the core,
We should not fight between hope and sorrow like it is a civil war,
Hope is all I truly need, nothing more.
