Some Ink Runs, Not All Ink Fades

Some ink runs, not all ink fades.

I'll be damned you think you can win that easily.
It's true your words captivate and tease me.
I can't even lie that you make my breathing uneasy.
Reach out and seize me, believe me, you won't lose me that easily.

Bitterly I put too much trust in myself.
For the thirst of my desire it couldn't be helped.
But it's the hand you're dealt, another notch on your belt, it's every man for himself.

Even after a decade some echoes still hit a resounding truth.
Rewinds time to remind us of the intense fallacies of youth.
Memories of the commotion of our ocean of emotions flood open.
Reminsing on missing the transmission of your missive of bliss when we were kissing.
Not going to think too hard on what created its absence.
I know there wasn't enough forgiveness in you to handle my lack of sense.

For reasons I can't fanthom, it feels good to kick through the embers of this old fire.
Watching as cameras roll from our finest hour toward where it all went sour.
To you now I might as well be a name on a headstone, because you buried me years ago.
I've tried hard to do the same, because we both know you're happier when you don't remember my name.

Solomon's Sins and Sorrow

Simple truths shared as seer's secrets
Sorrow for the same sins as Solomon
Skepticism's onset, self-sabotage
Succumbing to satan's false words of wisdom

Somber slumber ends
Screaming for salvation for my soul
Searching for subtle signs
Sight of his seamless synergy

Still my spirit seeks to be seen and saved
Strike my sinner heart with his serenity
Sincerely share life in his shelter
Seeking forgiveness as a son of Solomon

Celestial Consistency

We suffer seperately in our factured future.
Even though we are only three streets away.
But in many ways we are Mars and Venus.
With only the pleasure of wishing on shooting stars.
Longing to meet somewhere in the middle.
But there is so much space between us.
Being pulled by unknown forces.
Perhaps we'll see each other again on the next time around this dying star.
Fully aware that our paths will always bring us back to each other only to rip us apart again.
There is love in this consistency.
We may do this through all our lifetimes
but of all the world's cruelties at least there is beauty in that it lingers.

Pressing Forward

They says things come in threes, in chaos we seek order when we're young
Some find comfort in synchronicity, others find comfort flung from others tongues.

Individual truths hold the keys, finding them is vital to breaking through.
Some have locked away our monstrosities, these caged beasts no longer serve you.

Voyages from reality to reverie, we all deserve some time away.
We all remember being lost at sea, trying to keep our thoughts at bay.

Overwhelmed by all the possibilities, we hope to find ourselves again.
Guided by the same sky we all see, we oust hopeful sails to catch the wind.

Faith they will take us there eventually,we long to see the shore.
Our futures are an inevitably, we are all survivors in this war.

The Mind Is a Temple Within a Kingdom

Two kings wage war on the same crown.
To which the fate of your kingdom is bound.

Destined collision.
Of a manifesting mechanism.
The great schism of barbarism and wisdom.

Ruling over a nation of one.
By your actions a King's victory is won.

You are their common denominator.
Which is the Curator? Which is the Traitor?
You must crown one your great emancipator.

Curator
No doubt design of the mind was divine.
A temple that denys the confines of the sublime.
A bulwark from demise amd derise of the benign.
Guardian of the shrine that shines with all those aligned.

Traitor
Unstable power. Responsible for malicious creation
Removal of "our." Potential usurper of an ambitious station.
Emotionally sour. The source of your auspicious ruination.
Desire to overpower. Edging closer to vicious insubordination.

Escaping Generational Curses

Who am I but another fool of scorn?
With what armor did the fates provide me?

A pawn am I to the house I was born.
Double the sight helps not blind eyes to see.

Believed not I the tradegy that was foretold.
My father's and mother's blood went cold.
My sister and brother would never grow old.

Between dreams and destiny my heart is further torn.
I weep for that which I carry that is unborn.

I dare not pray to release me from that I'm sworn.
Yet I fail and ask the devil his fee.

He said "Give me a pound of flesh for an ounce of gold."
Piece by piece my body is sold.
I'll be whole again is the lie I'm told.

I share my fate not as a story to warn.
Enough lessons come from travesty.

Judge one not on how they mourn.
Nothing in life comes with a guarantee.

Substitute For Suicidal Ideation

I was told to change my ways
lift the haze
or lessened were my days to follow
I try my best
to get out of my chest
that which makes reality hard to swallow

After a while
I wore a smile
that you and I were grateful to see
But what can seem sublime
will fall to time
and knock us to our knees

Sometimes we pretend we're fine
we make words rhyme
so its not a burden to read.
But it is too often
we wait for their coffin
before we see how much we let them bleed.

There are a few
that I always knew
would keep me in their thoughts.
To these men
that I call friends
you are the salvation that I sought.

Though still in pain
I am not the same
I have better ways to deal with sorrow.
Because even after rain
I stay sane
and have hope for a brighter tomorrow.

Epoch of Dis-Ease

Merchant of moments
Peddling the past
A hourglass high
A present that never lasts

Slave to silience
Disguising the deceit
A tongued tied echo
A truth that's never discrete

Time may beget actuality
Expectation elicits emotion
A tacit torture
A sensation that's never chosen

False Fatherhood

My father was a man once
but never again

His children watched as he welcomed his demons
Whispering offers from which he couldnt abstain
Quickly they betrayed him and held his freedom
His face masked in umbra, his eyes, their domain
He spew forth lies, endless nights of schemin'
His dark maw was insatiable, only hunger remained
Hadn't seen him in years but he was already leavin'
I want to love him but only hold disdain
Never did anything but donated his semen
Marking his sons with the curse of Cain

We were children once
but never again

What Are We Doing Now

You pushed me away so hard and so fast
I'm still dealing with the whiplash
The emotional flashback
This new concept of us that I can't fully grasp
Was the last time I had you just love relapse?
Are we done acknowledging our past?
No more trying to comprehend what it lacked Am I too much now I've removed my mask?

It's too little or too much
Was I dead weight or a crutch?

Maybe too little too late?
Was I not carrying my own weight?
Did I not take you on enough dates?
Did we not give each other enough space?
We both turned to our escapes
I still remember the look on your face
That look to which I could too easily relate
You hide it now with the mask you create
Was to only learn from each other our fate?
