The Colors of Life

Look at your dull, usual and monotonous white wall
It’s not special
It needs to be painted again
It needs to be colorful, lively and eccentric
Wait a minute
Look at it again, closely and more attentively
Do you see it?
Do you see all the colours in it?
Think about it
White is the most noble and complete colour
It contains all the others
The joyful yellow
Thanks to which you’re positive and happy all day long
The seductive red
Which makes you appear mysterious and enigmatic
The hopeful green
The reason why you always think of the future and never regret your past
The gloomy black
Because of which sometimes you feel melancholic and sad
The ordinary brown
Without which you would continuosly have your head in the clouds
The delicate lilac
Which influences your gentle and lovable side
Never underestimate what you think is average
Unworthy of your time and attention
Everything has a hidden quality
And it’s your choice whether to discover it or not

You'Re Your Own Limit

This miserable height still scares me
I glimpse the terrain underneath
My hands are shaking
My heartbeat's racing
My legs not yet collapsing
Cowardice prevents me from jumping
Terror makes me turn my back
Close my eyes
Shut the door
Stop outside
Every chance I have
Of being finally
Happy.

Shattered Memories

The wind plays with my hair
just like you used to.
The rays of sun heat me up
just like your love used to.
This musky smell tickles my nostrils
just like yours used to.
Everything reminds me of you
but I’m here alone
with the memory of you
and your ghost sleeping next to me

September Melancholia

sunbeams through the leaves

shattered on the pavement

fragments of a summer

which I don't want to stop

nostalgia fills me up

reminiscing about those days

when happiness was all I felt

and laughter was all I heard

What If

What if you could delete your past
or at least part of it?
Would you do it?
Would you eliminate all your mistakes
bad choices
misfortunes
accidents?
Would you cancel
all those people who gave up on you
all those friendships that didn’t last
all those crushes that didn’t want you
all those arguments you didn’t win
all those failures
you don’t even want to remember
would you get rid of them?
Would you be brave enough?
Because you need courage
to deny your own decisions
and to forget all those people
who made you grow up
who molded you into the person you are now.
Without them, your errors,
you wouldn’t have acted right in that particular circumstance
you wouldn’t have stood up for yourself that time
you wouldn’t have gotten to know yourself better
and, most importantly,
you wouldn’t have met them
friends who support you
and who will be there for you
no matter what
despite you
despite all your mistakes
they are there for you
for the person you really are
the kind of person
who is smart
loving
driven
persevering
stubborn
beautiful
awesome
the kind of person you have always wanted to be
and that you wouldn’t have ever expected to become
but you did
despite your troubled past
you accomplished it
your biggest dream of all
and for it
you must congratulate yourself, only yourself.

The Night

The small pebble rolls down the hill
stoc, stoc, stoc
The wind whispers through the leaves
shh, shh, shh
The dark clouds cover the shining stars
While the feeble moon enlightens my path
A solitary owl takes flight from a rotten brench
A wolf wails desperately to the moon
The moon rays don’t shatter the silver animal anymore

Sensations

His arms are home to me
I perceive his warmth
And my heart beats with his
Now I’m walking alone
In the crowded streets in Rome
My heart shaking to the memory of us
